hiring process at a hospital?

Nurses Professionalism

Hi,

I was hired at loma linda hospital as a cna/patient care tech. I have been through the nurse hiring process before and I know its a long time.

But I was wondering how long it takes for the HR at hosptial to respond?

I intereviewed on monday then got a call from the DON on Friday that I was hired and to wait for HR to call me.

It coming up to two weeks since that Friday and I have not gotten a call from HR. I called HR and the assistant looked me up on the computer and it said I was hired but to wait for a call to let me know what the next steps were. I know I am just really anxious and can't wait to get a response.

So I have not gone through the background check or anything yet. I know they are busy but I am so antsy. lol

So when should I expect a call from them? How long should I wait before contacting the recruiter?

I got a call within a couple days of being hired about setting up background check and physical! I would give it a few more days and call again.

I think every hospital is different. I heard from HR after the NM decided to hire me before I heard from the NM. Then it took a day to get the paperwork for the background check and everything and I was told to wait for information on a hospital physical, etc. That took a few days, and at that time there was already an orientation day set up. Hospitals (at least in my area) have nurses orientation once a month and it so happened I was hired right before orientation so it went quickly, for a couple of nurses in the orientation with me, it was a much slower process.

Hi ✋... Congratulations on your job í ½í± I just finished my cna program and passed my test.. I wanted to apply at Loma linda and was wondering if they want you to have experience or they accept new grads? Also , how are you liking it?
