U.S. suspends gene therapy due to risks

  1. U.S. officials are suspending 27 more gene therapy studies as they investigate the death of a European toddler who was supposedly cured of the deadly "bubble boy disease" by gene therapy only to come down with an apparent leukemia-like side effect.
