    Come to the Bay Area and work the NOC shift at a hospital for the shift differential :-). I have to add that cost of living is very high here. The median price of a home where we live is $530,000. It used to be $710,000 a few years back.

    I know.....I saw $60 and my eyes nearly popped out of my head! I've been a RN for 11 years and am way closer to 24 than 60! I do have to add that I make decent money for my low cost of living area in Indiana

    I worked as an Lvn for awhile prior to getting my RN and I was making $28. The Bay Area is one of the highest paying nursing salaries in the nation. Minimum wage in San Jose just raised to $10.
