Nursing shortage no longer critical in Houston

  1. In the worst of the nursing shortage, Houston hospitals closed beds, juggled schedules and relied heavily on temporary staff. But some state funds and a rethinking of hospital policies have eased the worst aspects of the continuing nursing crisis, at least temporarily
