    RedHead Nurse,

Of course you don't believe him. You probably don't believe Steve Wynn either. You believe Wynn is on purposely passing up a investment opportunity, and taking his time to grant interviews about it simply because wants Obama out. Like I said, to buy into Liberalism you must believe that conservatives and their ideas are always ill-intentioned.

If he truly will do what he says he will, I don't see that as a threat to his employees. But, you think he doesn't mean it, so I guess to you it is a threat. And you mentioned two choices. I would say there is a third which is much better. That is to elect a president who understands the economy and how business stimulates the economy. Instead, we have a president who believes it is the government who stimulates the economy.

It isn't relevant if Obama understands business and the economy??????

I won't pretend to know of all the complexities of the economic conditions during the 42 years this man grew his business. But, at this stage he has more options available to him then he once did and he is saying it isn't worth it any longer if the government wants to take more of what he has built and earned.[/QUOTE]

*** There are several possibilitiea here. Maybe his views are biased by his political beliefs in the same way they are by religion for many people. Maybe he is older now and more risk adverse than when he was young and starting his business when taxes were higher than they are now. Maybe he is being dishonest and using his position to influence people to his political views.
In any case we know from our (US) history that higher taxes have not prevented entrepreneurs from creating and inovating. Steve Jobs, Bill Gates and nearly any entrepreneur you can name started their businesses when taxes where higher than they are now.

*** That's actually not the case at all. It's quite possible to not belive them cause they are mistaken or wrong. It's not required to believe they are ill-intentioned.

*** While I agree in therory that would be a possibiliety, since neither party has chosen to nominate such a canidate it's not a relistic choice this ellection.

Instead, we have a president who believes it is the government who stimulates the economy.

*** I would suggest that you look into what brought America out of the last Great Depression. Here is a simple explanation of the causes and recovery from the Great Depression:

Yeah I do. It's a little like threatening your employees' jobs to try to get your way politically. Steve Wynn will do whatever Steve Wynn does, and he doesn't give two poots about me or you, so I'm not sure why you care whether he loses money or not.

Sorry to disappoint, but I'm far from liberal. I simply have a brain and form my own opinions.

The problem with conservatism is that anyone who disagrees with their concepts must be a liberal.

Not relevant to this discussion. Do I need to say it again so you will know the difference between "not relevant" and "not relevant to this discussion?"

He's very welcome to sell out, if he feels it's no longer a worthwhile investment. I'm sure someone intelligent could take his company and make something great out of it no matter who the president is.

Is there an update? Did he opt to sell real estate or work in retail instead? Naw, I didn't think so.

We are still quite a bit shy of 6 months after the election. I do like your idea of a follow up on the doctor but that really should be done based on the timeline he proposed. Let's check his website again in early May.

I was mostly joking, I think he is near retirement age anyway, so the whole thing was always a nonstarter. If he'd said he would move to Canada or something, that might actually be interesting to watch (not) actually happen.

As an aside, Steve Wynn has a very nice hotel. I frequently attend seminars in Vegas, which are usually held (inexplicably) at the Venetian, a sub par establishment. I always stay at the Encore; let me tell you, there is no recession going on there, lol. He may want to do better, but Steve is doing fine. I am seeing to it personally.
