'Disposable' hospital prototype to go up next month

  1. Construction of a prototype for a portable hospital that could house victims of bioterrorism is scheduled to begin in Pennsylvania next month. Funded by the federal government, the 6,000-square-foot Emergency Isolation Treatment Shelter could be quickly transported and assembled in the wake of a bioterrorism incident, and disposed of, if necessary.
