Calling SE PA and NJ RN's for March 6th Nursing Summit re hospital staffing

  1. NURSES' SUMMIT:sponsored by PASNAP nursing union

LEGISLATIVE SOLUTIONS TO THE CRISIS IN OUR HOSPITALS

    March 6, 2003 at 7 p.m.
Adams Mark Hotel, City Ave., Philadelphia

    with guest speaker Suzanne Gordon

Largely due to the work of nurses around Pennsylvania, and the efforts of PASNAP, the Pennsylvania Association of Staff Nurses and Allied Professionals, nurse-friendly legislation was introduced in the Pennsylvania General Assembly this past legislative session which would have set safe staffing ratios in hospitals and placed a ban on mandatory overtime for PA nurses. Unfortunately,
these bills never received a full vote in the PA Senate or House.
But it's not over. The General Assembly reconvened on January 7th , and these important bills will be assigned new bill numbers and reintroduced in both houses.

NRSKarenRN, I received a notice in the mail about the Summit and was considering going to this meeting, but when I've tried to get more info on the PASNAP site about it, I never can find any (general info about the meeting). Am I not looking in the right place on their website?
