It sounds like you're doing at least some of what you should be doing to take care of yourself. Taking your medications faithfully is a major step in the right direction; so is getting enough sleep, eating a good diet, and doing some physical activity almost every day. These actions help to reduce stress, which in turn reduces the likelihood of having a relapse.
I don't know much about what nursing is like in Canada, and I know even less about your illness; but I should think that the basic principles of self-care for mental illness are pretty much universal. Wishing you the very best!
