Tested positive, TPAPN

  1. Tested positive on standard alcohol test . Which is on option 1 per my caseworker. I am freaking, she is not. The level is very low and she stated, "given how well you have done and the very low level, I am not unduly concerned right now as it this might indicate a medical issue or incidental exposure.," At my cost they are running an EGT, and a Peth next before any action on TPAPN part is taken. No, I have not relapsed and thus have faith this will be resolved.

And to think I worried about ETG false positives all the while not giving a thought about the standard urine drug test on option 1. What the cause is, I don't know. I've had drastic weight loss and am more concerned about the possibility of diabetes. This certainly does suck!!!

Thanks, I'm keeping the faith. My Doc says low level on the standard usually means in vitro alcohol production and egt will confirm sobriety.

Make sure the person collecting the urine handles it properly. I've seen some technicians touch the inside of the cup. That can transfer the alcohol they use on their hands to your specimen. I open the package myself, in front of them. If they can let you do that, then do it. It will save you from a whole lot of unnecessary headache's and worry.

I'm actually wondering if I did that. The techs are really good, but I have a habit of rushing through the hand washing and not rinsing well. Wondering if I touched the inside of the cup with the soap. An MRE told me I have little to worry about, if I didn't drink it will be proven so.
