Question re: license endorsement and past DUI arrest

Nurses Recovery

Published

Over a year ago I was arrested for DUI. I reported the incident to my state board of nursing and completed the state's diversion program which drops the charges. I had no disciplinary action from the BON. Since I successfully completed the diversion, my understanding is that the arrest will still show on my record, but will say "diversion". There was no conviction. Does anyone have any insight on whether this will delay my getting an endorsement in another state? My understanding is that each state is different and I should submit supporting documentation with my application- explaining the circumstances. I'm just wondering if anyone has personal experience with how this can effect the timeline of receiving a license endorsement as I am looking at travel nursing in Arizona, California and Colorado where getting a temporary license quickly will be important. Any feedback will be appreciated.

Thank you,

I would like to know also.

This post is from so long ago... but curious what ended up happening? I know a fellow nurse who is looking to travel and also has a DUI on his record...

Anyone have an answer? I am in the process of applying for my california license and the section about previous trouble is a bit concerning.

Never had any trouble getting licensed in other states and was always able to get my license timely for my travel assignments.

Hello

I know the original posting is long ago. I want to know too. Can I get a license in another state after completing probation. My license is active and no restrictions
