PEth test for ETOH

Hello everyone

I am new to this forum and am currently in the FL IPN program. I was curious if any one here has had to submit to the PEth test to test for etoh. I have not relapsed, but have a friend of mine who said she tested positive without ever having drank any alcohol. this worries me, because I am sober and would hate to be in trouble for something I am not guilty of. this poor girl had to sign another 5 yr contract......

anyone come across any random PEth's?

I googled this and found a site Medtox.com with some helpful information. (I'd never heard of this test). Appears its used for assessing Long Term or Binge Drinking, but not specific for an occasional drink or incidental exposure and should not be used alone for 1 time positive to determine if someone has relapsed. This stuff scares the "bleep" out of me!
