Monitoring programs

Nurses Recovery

Published

My journey started in delaware and i just had my license reinstated. Im currently being monitored by their program RBH monitoring. However, i now (for the last almost 3 years) live in kentucky. Once i finish my refresher course i plan to apply for licensure in Kentucky. Ive learned kentucky using KARE. Will i need to be monitored (and pay for) both programs or will RBH switch to KARE?

Correct. They would ONLY accept their refresher course which i didnt have a problem with since it was all online with the ability to set up the clinical anywhere- until their (the schools) representative told me they wouldnt accept me.

I had a lawyer for my initial hearing- biggest waste of 3 grand i could have ever spent. i got a 5 year suspension. it required an independent evaluation for substance abuse and mental health. It also required that i undergo domestic violence counceling. After 1 year if i had all negetive screens and followed the recommendations from my eval my suspension would be lifted with continued monitoring for the next 4 years. There was no mention of restrictions but i cant say for sure until i see the order that is entered in (hearing was on the 8th and has not yet been updated). My second hearing, this month, i represented myself and my suspension was lifted- although in all fairness ive had over 60 negetive drug screens in the last year, did individual counceling for 9 months and their stupid DV counceling. My original charges are from 2010 so im already over 4 years out from that.

As long as i can transfer my lapsed license, at this point im not sure its even worth my time worrying about what delaware wants as far as reactivating.
