How long is too long with the BON?

Hi all, so as a refresher, I was placed on a cease practice in the middle of March with the BON in California for a positive ETG test. When I consulted with the MRO for firstlab, we determined a nasal spray I was using could've been the cause of the positive reading. The board then made me get a PeTH test and, while I never got the results of my test, 4 days later I got my official letter to cease practice from the BON and await further discipline. At this point I had been on probation for a year.

Ive been at my job for 4 years and was fortunate enough that they kept me on as a ward clerk at my same pay rate until the board settles my case. For the past 4 months I've been working, following all the board requests, no more dirty tests etc. I'm trying be patient but I haven't heard anything at all from the board since they issued the cease practice letter. Anyone have any experience with this and know how long the process takes? At this point, I wouldn't mind 2 more years of probation (the usual punishment) if the board would just get it over with.

My license is up for renewal in December and at this point I don't even know if my case will be settled by then. My lawyer unfortunately can't do anything until the AG office makes a move and I don't even dare ask my monitor as I've heard horror stories of what can happen to you if you catch them on a bad day (extra testing, job denials etc.)
