PDA assisted stethoscope

by metfan

I have severe hearing loss. My audiologist suggested getting a pda assisted stethoscope. I do not know much about these. It looks like VESED will pay for me to get one. I am a working LPN and also in RN school (second semester and just now learning heart and lung sounds.) Does anyone know anything about them? I have an old electronic scope by adscope. I can hear blood pressures but now much else. I think I would like to try an electronic littman but like I said, my audiologist suggests the pda assisted. I guess because of the type of hearing loss I have. Any input would be greatful. You are all so helpful. Thanks. Colleen
