Licensure by Endorsement States and RNP

I agree with the suggestion of finishing out your monitoring before seeking licensure elsewhere. Even then, you may be required to a monitoring period depending on the state and their regs. I understand your objections and the idea of being tried twice, but this is administrative law and very different than criminal law, and the BON actions are not considered as a trial or sentencing.

I know that there are a few states that do want their own monitoring done, even when already completed elsehwere... I suspect that they don't want to assume liability based on other states programs. and the fact that the media has uncovered some states that don't do a good job does not help here.

I completed a 5 year monitoring program in 2006, sober since 2001, and am currently seeking reinstatement in my original state of licensing d/t letting my license lapse. Could you tell me what states that you know of that require their own monitoring after successful completion of the program?

So they endorsed it when they got good and ready, but did they make you do a probation all over again?
