Re: Help with inpatient rehab
I agree with chery. This is very important if you want to keep your nursing license.
Also, if you are not working right now, obviously, then you will qualify for treatment and there are funds available at some treatment facilities for this. Do you think anyone who has an addiction problem has the money to enter these programs?? No. They have drank, shot up, swallowed or otherwise smoked all thier money. I'm not trying to be mean, I was in the same boat a few years ago, so I know how you're feeling.
Have you had an assesment done by a licensed chemical dependency counselor (lcdc) ?? This is the first step. If they are telling you that you need to enter into inpatient treatment, then they must have a recommendation from an lcdc for you to do so. Sometimes the lcdc will recommend intense outpatient treatment, this is much less expensive and also there are funds available for this.
What state are you in? There are hotlines for people to call to get this sort of help.
Start here
http://www.samhsa.gov/ this is the federal funded Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. This website has a facility locator and a hotline number
1-800-662-HELP.
Do not be afraid to call this number. Call it now.
These people are paid to help people like you and other addicts who are in desperate need for help. Do this now, and let us know how it turns out. I hope the best for you...
