Getting cleared to work again

Hello all, it has been quite a while since I have been here. I completed my inpatient treatment, my IOP, and stepping down to general outpatient. I have been told that in the near future I am going to get the ok to seek employment. I will have 6 month controlled substance restriction. Any tips out there in seeking a job as far as the interview process goes....i.e lapse in employment, explaining the restriction, convincing them of my confidence in my recovery...any help would be appreciated!

I need to write a guide. Focus on your 12 steps and you will intuitively know what used to baffle! 9th step is typically what it takes. Getting nabbed is the best thing that happened in your life. take your job and recovery seriously, be honest, dont minimize or glorify just state what happened and more importantly what you've done and will continue to do about it. offer freebie UDS's on your dime should any question come about since those who have been through it will not be trusted (it's human nature).

When you were out of work, you were hospitalized because of an illness.
