    Hi all,

    I have an interview for a LTC staff dev. coordinator position in a few days. It's always been something I've been interested in, but I've only been in nursing for a few years. I have a masters degree in education, teach BLS, and love staff education. I am a little worried that I will miss bedside nursing though (but not the stress involved!) It will also be a change of working 3 12s overnight to 5 days during the week.

    How should I prepare for my interview? What kinds of questions might be asked?

    Also, what do you love/hate about your LTC Staff Development job?

    I am in acute care, but can recommend you consider joining NNSDO, National Nursing Staff Development Organization. Lots of good info there and the e-mail threads are helpful.

    I would want to know if I have any help, is there a computer based learning system available, what are the educational requirements for staff, who keeps up with registration forms, etc.
