    I will be finishing my MSN program with a concentration in nursing education this summer. During our practicum we have to come up with a capstone project. This project can be any type of education for the stafff. I will focus on the medical-surgical-telemetry units.

    What have others done for a project? Just wanted to hear others ideas.

    "Patient Centered Care" and "Multi-Cultural Competency" is very hot now. "Healthcare Literacy" is also a great topic. You will be able to find lots of information/tools, etc. and the topic will be valuable enough for your employer to willingly support you in this endeavor. It's always great to come up with an effort that works both for school and work, right?

    I did my practicum project on patient safety with medications. I have seen Code Blue practicums and I also know of Code Carnivals. Simulation and patient teaching is a topic also

    Structured nurse orientation and it's impact on nurse retention. We implemented the progran at my hospital and it was a success!
