hi i have a question regarding my visa screening in in my application on my visa screening. I have passed my NCLEX examination in the state of California. so currently, I do not have a license for validation for I have not yet acquired a valid U.S. Social Security Number (SSN) and it is needed in order to have a permanent RN license issued and validated.

I think I made a mistake in filling it as my license to be VALIDATED and since a copy of my test results can verify my passing of nclex. how Can I delete it in my file? If not, what action should I do? I registered online and already paid the necessary fee.
Mistakes as far as I am aware can not be corrected online, you have to contact them I think by mail with corrected information. CA will confirm with VSC that you meet requirements for registration which should be OK for CGFNS

Do BSN students educated in the US also have to the visa screening after they graduate and do their OPT?
If you are looking at staying permanently after OPT then yes you will need VSC. If you are only planning on staying for OPT and then going back home then you do not need VSC. Be aware of retrogression and the long wait for immigrant visa and you can not stay in the US without a work or student visa that is valid and allows you to stay whilst you wait for your immigrant visa

    Hello Everybody!
I have a FL nursing license (RN) and I have a Visa Screen Certificate. What now? What would be my next step in order to live and work in FL? PLease, please advise. Does retrogression apply to all countries worldwide? Is it still possible to come to the US via a job offer (I-140)?

You are affected by retrogression and have a long wait ahead of you unless you get a work visa and that isn't easy.

Getting employer and job offer (I140) is just the beginning and means you join the queue if the category is EB3 (which most nurses come under) Retrogression affects all countries and goes on where you was born.

This will keep you up to date and your PD is the date your I140 was submitted and approved. If you have only just got a PD then you are currently looking at minimum 6 years and max 9 years depending on where you was born

Thank you fro your fast answer. I don't have a job offer. Don't know if searching for a job makes sense at all these days...Retrogression has nothing to do with EB-3 right? As far as I understand, I my options now are the following two:

    1. Look for a sponsoring employer
    OR
    2. wait until retrogression is lifted

It's not like I have to do I-140 AND wait for the end of retrogression, is it?

I seriously doubt retrogression will end for a few more years (I may be wrong but it has been ongoing since Oct 06 and moving very slowly) Only category EB1 is currently not affected by retrogression but you need to be exception and have masters or PHD I believe to get a job in that category.

Retrogression means the demand for visas outweigh the amount of visas allocated annually. EB3 is affected and all countries are affected

If you find a employer willing to wait 5+ years and starts the process (EB3 and files I140) you are in the queue and just have to wait for your PD to become current, only then will you complete paperwork and have an interview and if pass interview get immigrant visa

thanks for the reply silver dragon. i have one more question in the request for transcript that is Foreign Language does the CGFNS considered TAGALOG/ FILIPINO as a foreign language i finished my BSN in the Philippines. Thank you!

if your transcript is on a language other than English, then it is considered a foreign language and needs to be translated by an approved agency. But Philippine BSN is actually in English (except for the subject "Pagbasa" "Pagsulat" etc which doesn't require any translation) so I think you should be okay.

    thanks iamnomad

so can i put my my grade in filipino as the grade in the subject of the foreign language in the TOR? thanks again
  11. by iamnomad
what form are you referring to?
and its asking for a grade?
  12. by ichiepoh
the validation of transcrift were the registrar write the your grades in suject like arts, english, ecomomics, foreign language etc.

the registrar should do that for you, you don't have to write anything, except for the part that specifically says for applicant.

if your school processed CGFNS application before, they should be able to handle your papers.
