I'm not sure what you are asking. If you don't already have a license in any State then you cannot endorse to another State until you have a license. I think you will have to apply for an initial license with your NCLEX passed. Also read up on New Mexico BON as I think they have recently introduced a policy when you apply for an intital NM license you have to show that you will be remaining in the State and not solely applying for licensure to endorse elsewhere immediatly after.

New Mexico doesn't require a SSN for application as yet. You should look at the State you wish to work in rather than finding a cheaper/faster approach as it will take you longer, cost more and cause you grief along the way by jumping State BON's. Also the service at NM BON was not exactly friendly when I used them. I think they may be very snowed under with applications. Good luck anyway.
Thank you so much for this great insight... I am a foreign grad nurse who is currently staying here in the Philippines. I took my NCLEX 2011 and luckily nailed it...The main reason why I wnt to endorse my license of examination from Ca to NM is because I dont have SSN. if I am not going to provide CA BON with SSN my file will be destroyed so i am planning to just endorse it to a diferent state instead...

IPls Pls do help me with this.. thank you

Because you used CA for initial application and have no license you can not endorse. You have to apply for initial application and arrange with C to forward your NCLEX results (usually small fee) regardless you will still have to go through CGFNS or other approved assessment center and have a report issued and that is usually a 4 month process. So really look at time frame as being 4-6 months regardless on state you apply to

So correct me if im wrong that is not called endorsement... its just transferring your file and nclex result to a different state who dont require SSN so they can provide u a temporary license... now I got your point silverdragon... thank you thank you... i just really need to figure out what else I could possibly do for me to transfer my file to NM or TX.... but which is better though
??? is it NM or TX???

    Thanks,....

No you are not transferring your file only your NCLEX results. You still have to start a new application and meet requirements. Only you can decide which state

Here's something to consider if you plan to try into NM, they recently implemented a new form to ensure that new applicants plans to stay within their state for a few years. Also note there have been other PH posters who passed the NCLEX-RN, but like in CA, can't be issued the actual license without providing a valid SSN.

Here's the NM information link: http://allnurses.com/nurse-registrat...rn-791505.html

Again, you need to verify with the CA BON, do you have a valid CA license to be endorsed without having a SSN? E-mail them your case. Let us know what you find out, as they will provide with the best answer, as it could be a case by case basis, never know.

Time is of the essence as if the CA BON does something negatively with your soon to be expired license, it may delay your future plans. Good luck.

Hi, I passed nclexrn on 2007, I want to know if my result is still saved by ca brn so I can endorse to new mexico for initial registration after getting ielts, I have vsc, can I use that for credential evaluation?

If you received a CA license after passing the NCLEX, no problem. If you didn't, well there will probably be some hoops to jump through and it won't be with the CA BON.

Did you have a license issued? If yes should be able to endorse if not then you have no license to endorse and have to go through initial application and arrange NCLEX results to be forwarded

I only passed nclex rn. I am a bit confused.... I dont know where to apply for licensure by examination... which state(s) will give license and what are the requirements. Is New York requires cgfns certificate (EXAM) aside from child abuse, infection blah blah blah... same in WA, cgfns certif, hiv something...
To make it clearer, i have nclexrn under ca, and i want hard license, I dont hav ssn (which state gives a waiver, texas?, I've got ielts only, I dont want to take toefl ( for wa), it's fine to take online couses like child abuse, hiv education etc., no cgfns certification and I dont want to take exam for that. Though I am willing for credential evaluation via cgfns....and texas wanted to do fingerprint on US, it can be done outside by local authorities?
I checkd all brn, but still confused. ? Lol

NY does not need CGFNS exam, they just require cvs and 2 online courses. Cvs is just CGFNS collecting the required documentation for NY BON who then made a decision based on what documents have been submitted.
