Any foreign grad nurse with concurrency problems in any of these 13 states (Alabama, Arizona California, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Vermont, Virginia, Washington) try applying in any of the other 37 states to take the NCLEX and has gotten their ATT??? If so, can you please tell us which state and how you did it, like whether a CES was required, IELTS, english proficiency, etc.

The real answer to your question is what State do you want to work and practice in for the next 3-5-10 years, not counting the ones you already mentioned.

It makes no sense to ask for the fastest, easier, cheapest, etc....as you still need to qualify into the final state you wish to find a job in with the same college transcripts.

Why waste months and fee$ to go to one state, then try to endorse-transfer to the actual state you wanted in the first place and then go thru ALL or maybe more steps all over again, pay double or more in application fee$ and then wait more months.

I mean, if NY is good for you, but in reality, you prefer to work and get a real house in FL, just go for FL, as an example. I read of so many PH grads trying to apply here, but then want to transfer there, you're only feeding the first state's pockets for nothing.

Simply know exactly which state you wish to raise a family or bring your loved ones to stay for several years.

Then simply GOOGLE: my XXX State Board of Nursing, bingo, there's all the requirements that can be printed out, all one stop shopping, no need to go thru any agency that you can do yourself.

There are usually "always" a special section for International applicants, just read those, it's done for you, you just need to get whatever the testings and exams needed to further process your desired State's application, it doesn't get any faster, easier or cheaper than that.

Thanks for taking the time to explain all that to me steppybay. I guess I've been lazy to look into each state/BON website. I will start doing more research as to which state would be a desirable place for me to settle into. Thanks again!

Kababayan, don't worry, at least you admit to being "lazy and I mean that in a friendly way and jokingly manner :kiss. Some of my friends don't, you know the kind I mean, lol. Yes, you're right as usual, arghh....

I'm also telling my friends and other friends of friend's to do the same thing, they keep asking OVER and OVER, hey, how to apply here, but really I want to stay and work there. HELLO guys! It's not as black and white as that, I tell them.

What's that mean? should i not take that 13 states that is involved in the concurrency issue? i am about to take my nclex here in washington, but then i have to get that CES and take toefl. please do let me know so that my money will not be waste for nothing. thank you.

Why is it that CA BON has a lot of issue about that concurrency? what are their specific requirements?

CA only in the last 12-16 months started adhering to their rules on concurrency. Why? don't know what made them start but maybe due to fraud it made them look at their policies and start being stricter
