Hi all,

Please help me,I'm in conflict. Recently, I recieved CARNA decision to do SEC assessment for registration. Can anyone tell me that how much preparation needed for SEC.How I should prepare for it.They gave me SEC-General,Obs,Paeds,Mental Health means in all :coollook:

I'm bit worried. Can i apply for temporary license in alberta?.can I apply for CRNE before SEC?How I can get visa to appear for SEC? Lastly, how I can get job offer in Alberta/Sasketchewan?

I need ur help....senior members!!!

you can read up on SEC but until you actually are told by the CARNA that you need SEC then I wouldn't worry too much. No telling how long it will take. You will be required to apply for a student visa if courses are required and you will be required to undertake a medical if you have already had one then I believe if over 12 months then another is required

Tnx for te info. i've got a letter from CARNA for SEC assessment. wht do i do next. how long does it take before they give me the actual appontment date? any advice about the SEC assessment...thanks

Hi Everyone,

I am a Canadian who had completed my RNeducation in Australia. I've moved back home to Alberta this past summer and am preparing to become CARNA registered.

I am taking the SEC assessment in Calgary in April 2013 and was wondering if there are study groups in Calgary or if there are others out there who are looking to study together please PM me.

Thank you for sharing your information. I've found it incredibly useful!

Mayvdiaz, I don't have any information that would help you, though I wish you goodluck! However I'm an Australian RN (with an Australian degree) interested in working in Canada in the future and would be interested to know how you go with gaining Canadian registration with your Australian degree.
