Returning nclex examiner

  1. Good day to all, I have received my ATT last 2009, but I did not push through with the exam, because I have change my plan in life that time. But now I wanted to take the NCLEX exam now. What are the steps I should take? How can I get ATT? Should I pay again the registration fee of 200$ again in NCSBN? I have already retrieve my account in NCSBN. I just don't know the next step to take.

Hope you could help me. Thank you.

You should contact the board of nursing in the state you are seeking licensure; you may need to take a refresher course before being allowed to sit for the NCLEX exam.

You will most likely need to re-apply for licensure via examination as well as register via NCSBN for a new ATT.

Thank you for the reply Okami, I am still currently practicing my Nursing Profession, what do you mean by refresher course is it reviewing before sitting for the exam, I will surely do that before anything else.

So I should just register and pay the 200$ to receive the new ATT? is that right?

I am a little confused, you mentioned receiving an ATT number in 2009, but not taking the NCLEX exam. This would mean that you do not a valid nursing license, how are you practicing nursing?

oh sorry i did not told you that I graduated in the philippines and holds a license in the philippines, i'm currently working also here in UAE and holds a license here as well and practicing my nursing career here.

I was eligible to take the exam last 2009 by the california board of nursing. Should i need to submit again my credentials and finger prints as well? before i receive ATT? and what if i wanted to change state now, i was planning to take it in illinois, what steps should i take.

    Thank you.

Basically because over 7 years has passed you will have to start over again with application.
