Registration Verification from Saudi Council

Hi! Been following the discussion about verification of nurse registration since last week and I decided to join this site to get some help and be of assistance, if possible.

Currently, I am applying for Further Assessment in Alberta's College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). At this stage, the only requirement I need is the Verification of Registration from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) or known as the Saudi Council. I was advised that it is done online so I paid and received a Certificate of Good Standing via email in a matter of minutes. I thought everything was fine but the problem has just get started from that point.

Two weeks ago, I sent the said certificate electronically but they advised me to have it printed and sent directly from its source that is Saudi Council. So I went there a couple of days back to ask them to send it as it is the requirement of CARNA (with the fee of sending to be paid by me) but they declined my request. They just gave me an envelope and instructed me to send it myself.

The dilemma did not end there because last night, CARNA emailed me that the certificate does not include the Initial Date of Registration and that their Nurse Consultant will call them with this concern. As for my end, I am planning to go back there and have the Verification of Nurse Registration Form filled up in addition to the good standing certificate. However, I would like to hear from you guys who have the same concern or been processing their CARNA registration or with any other jurisdiction (eg., NMC UK, AHPRA) that requires registration verification from Saudi Arabia.

You actually got quite a lot but it's fine. Anyway, regarding your series of questions, I just approached their information desk where you can find a guard or two who issue a number for the queue, which is very short if you go there early at around 0730H based from my experience for I went there twice to forward the form to SCFHS and to send the document back to the UK. So after a short while I was entertained by the receptionist and I gave them a copy of my Saudi RN License (it would be better if you could have copies of your documents from your school, PRC and SCFHS as they do not have a photocopier there just to be sure) and paid using a debit card for they do not accept cash there. Then they will ask for your mobile number in order for them to get in touch with you once the verification form is ready for pick up. So you won't have to be there while they fill out the form.

A week after (although I was not able to answer their call), I went back to the SCFHS Main Office there in Riyadh and on that same reception I waited for my turn and they asked me to enter their office to check the accomplished form. When I was certain that all of the information needed were properly supplied, I gave them a go so a staff there sealed it in an envelope and stamped it. After which, they advised me to proceed to a certain office (I'm sorry for I forgot the name of the office, I can't remember if it is the Marketing Office) on the same floor, a short walk passing through the examination area, then turn left, to ask for the courier service. The guy there asked me to go to the Finance Dept (located on the second floor) immediately and once more I paid less than SAR 200.00 for the courier fee, again using a debit card, and I then went back to him to fill out the form indicating the recipient's address, that is the NMC UK.

If I were you, copy the tracking number yourself as they gave me a wrong tracking number. And that's it, just wait for a few days and you may start checking the status of your document online on Aramex website. Hope it helps.

I just want to be sure that photocopies of my documents suck as passports and birth certificates no longer need to be certified (as stated in the website)? Can you also tell me if NMC accepted your authenticated Saudi council ID? Also, will it be better for me to start applying in agencies or wait until I am half way on my NMC application? Thanks!

Hello there. To be sure, have all of those documents certified as true copies of the original. It was the Professional Accreditation Certificate (not the license or ID), translated and certified as true copy (as they do not return original ones) that I forwarded and they sent me the second pack in a month. You may start looking for agencies now.

Yes, it is gray in color with your details written in Arabic. It is equivalent to our PRC Board Certificate in the Phils. Once I got registered, they provided me with that one. Take note, it has to be translated and you could avail of that service from the SCFHS as well. You're welcome.

hello sir EdOng, I have a similar problem regarding the certificate of registration as I was previously employed in KSA (buraidah, gassim). anyways my main concern is that I am now back in the Philippines and I am just about to start my NMC application. when I was browsing through the requirements I came across this particular certificate that I have no idea where to obtain. so I googled and stumbled upon this blog site. thanks generously for your contribution. but I want to ask if it is possible for someone else, like my friends in KSA, to file for the certificate on my behalf? if so what documents do they need to present to be able to get the certificate? Thank you so much.

to sir edong, to make it clear, they have translation services in SCFHS already right? Also, is the document for good standing still relevant to send to NMC, since when someone sent that to NMC they just asked for another document (the professional accreditation certificate)? So only the certificate of registration is needed right? because in my case my previous saudi employer did not give us (future care clinics nurses) our licenses so I only have a photo copy of my license which I secretely asked from the office of the secretary.

I might sound confusing, but to cut the chase my questions are : do I still need to get hold of a good standing document and are there any documents that I'll need from SCFHS besides the professional accreditation certificate?

Since I would just be asking a friend to get the documents for me, it better If I send him to the task complete with necessary informations.

Hi madii. I think the best option is to have your friend request for a Professional Accreditation Certificate on your behalf. I do not know the process if someone is already out of Saudi but first ask him or her to phone SCFHS call centre for the details. Meanwhile, prepare a scanned copy of your license and Good Standing Certificate for you to send via email in case they will ask for it. Also ask him or her to have the certificate translated before sending it back to the Phils. (I have to go now for my day shift, till then)

I hope it will. Try to exhaust all of the means to get that certificate first, then hopefully everything else follows. Good luck to you then.

I tried uploading the picture but it wont upload.

Hallo. I'm sorry for missing that post of yours and thanks for reminding me to go over it (as I only reply using my mobile) Yup, that's the professional accreditation certificate/registration certificate. Since it is a photocopy, you can have it certified as true copy of the original and translated. The Good Standing Certificate, meanwhile, is an electronically generated document sent by the SCFHS via email once you paid via SADAD. I sent it as a supporting document in stage two as the NMC requires a website/link in order to check the registration online on one of their forms for the verification of nurse registration (same thing you have to send to the PRC).

Call my attention once more in case I missed important details....Really? Haha, no worries, cos it's my pleasure to share my experiences with the NMC, specifically in terms of accomplishing requirements with the SCFHS.
