Registration Verification from Saudi Council

Hi! Been following the discussion about verification of nurse registration since last week and I decided to join this site to get some help and be of assistance, if possible.

Currently, I am applying for Further Assessment in Alberta's College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). At this stage, the only requirement I need is the Verification of Registration from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) or known as the Saudi Council. I was advised that it is done online so I paid and received a Certificate of Good Standing via email in a matter of minutes. I thought everything was fine but the problem has just get started from that point.

Two weeks ago, I sent the said certificate electronically but they advised me to have it printed and sent directly from its source that is Saudi Council. So I went there a couple of days back to ask them to send it as it is the requirement of CARNA (with the fee of sending to be paid by me) but they declined my request. They just gave me an envelope and instructed me to send it myself.

The dilemma did not end there because last night, CARNA emailed me that the certificate does not include the Initial Date of Registration and that their Nurse Consultant will call them with this concern. As for my end, I am planning to go back there and have the Verification of Nurse Registration Form filled up in addition to the good standing certificate. However, I would like to hear from you guys who have the same concern or been processing their CARNA registration or with any other jurisdiction (eg., NMC UK, AHPRA) that requires registration verification from Saudi Arabia.

Ed0ng, it's been a while since we last exchanged messages. I have already submitted the translated SCFHS professional accreditation certificate to NMC via DHL, and they have received it last June 26. I also called NMC regarding the status of my application, and they told me to wait for a maximum of 3 months for the 2nd pack. How long did it take you to get the 2nd pack? Have you finally received the decision letter already?

Good for you at least you did send the needed document correctly. For the full application they told me the same time line but I received it in less than 1.5 months. Still the decision is not yet through for my application so I am just waiting patiently for it to come.

I really pray that I will receive the full application pack this July or 1st week of August, so I can get it started. I'll keep you posted once I received it. I want to send my warmest regards to you, Ed0ng.

I just finished my pack 1 requirements for NMC. I received a letter from them asking for an English translation of the registration certificate from Saudi Council, although i already provided them with it, when i sent my pack 1. The translation was done in arabic school here in davao city with complete information of the translator as per instructions in the pack I.However,I did not send my prometric exam result and photocopy of my saudi id license. By the way, i am an ex saudi, i worked there for 2 years then went home year 2010, and now currently employed in a hospital here in davao for almost 3 years already.

What possibly gone wrong with my papers? will they honor the translation made here in davao city or do i need to have it translated in saudi council? because i am already in the phil for years now. Im beggining to get anxious about this.

I hope you could give time to respond to my questions.

Hello there Donna. So you received a letter asking for another translation, correct? I think it is not necessarily the firm who translated it, but may be they found something wrong or missing or what, because my PAC was translated by a certified translator, however, here in Saudi. So if you know someone in Riyadh who can have it translated by the Saudi Council, it would be better. But before doing that, try to phone NMC to find out what they are really looking for in a translation to be accepted.

Hi, donna14! At first, I sent my authenticated Saudi Council ID with the SCFHS stamp and signature from the regional office here in Gassim, but NMC sent me another letter asking me for the translated SCFHS Professional accreditation certificate attached to the photocopy of the original form which was in Arabic. Did you attach the photocopy of the original professional accreditation certificate in addition to the English translated document?

@EdOngGood evening sir Edong, I've been reading this thread for quite long.I have one concern about the nursing registration for UK. My professional title in the license itself is NURSING TECHNICIAN, i think thats the case for most filipino nurses working there. Thou it should be nursiing specialist. Do u think I would be a problem? Just worried.

Hi. That too was my concern before, but I asked most of my friends and they told me that all of them

are registered as nurse technicians.Then I came to know that most of the nurses here in Saudi have that initial/entry registration title. The important thing, I guess is the job post, say, it should be as registered/staff nurse or higher, but not as a nurse assistant. Moreover, there is a separate registration for nurse specialists. I don't think that would be a problem as they did not question my SCFHS registration on stage 1 as well as when CARNA assessed my application with them.

hello sir edong. thank you for the reply. i did call the nmc regarding my concern. They told me that they have mislooked it. The translated document i provided was just fine. i already rcvd my pack 2. thnx a lot.

now, i got a new problem, since they require verification of the reg cert from saudi council. i should send the form to saudi council right? and have them fill it up. do i need to get hold of the good standing cert also and should be attached to the form from nmc? i will just ask someone from my previous co worker for the hr ro help me with this.. and i really hope they have big hearts to help.

what exactly i will have to say and do? so that i could explain it to them. will saudi council do it? and send it back to uk?

and also, i was in dammam, ksa before. they have scfhs branch there. can i let them do it in dammam branch? i keeping my fingers crossed that my previius employers could help. are there any other options if ever they would not?

Hi, donna14! I'm glad you received the 2nd NMC pack already. I called them a week ago, and I was told that my 1st pack is still in the decision queue. I really hope to get my 2nd pack soon.
