Hello I am an international educated nurse and will be migrating to the us by next year hopefully ....can u advise me as to the process in applying for the exam as an international nurse

Specializes in PACU.

I believe she is saying she got her BSN in 2011, is from the Caribbean, has 3 years of experience, and looking to move to Florida.

What type of immigrant visa are you coming over with?

Immigrant ......

Immigrant ......

EB3. There is retrogression in place depending on your country of birth. Passing the NCLEX does not = visa eligibility. A valid offer of employment and sponsorship with get you a priority date and in the queue for visa processing.

EB3 is currently processing applications from April 2011 so there is approximately a 3.5 year wait for visa processing once you obtain an offer of employment from an employer not only willing to sponsor you but hold the job for 3.5 years for you.

Ok tnx you

The immigrant visa is already in the process .....being filed for by parents ..

If your parents are US citizens and you are unmarried the current priority date is 2007 (approx 7 year wait) if you are married it's 2003 (11 year wait) for your application to become current. The wait is a bit longer than 7 years for unmarried children of permanent residents under age 21, longer yet for unmarried children over age 21, and longer for married children of US PR.

Priority date is issued once your visa application is accepted and the visa bulletin is posted monthly by USCIS.

You may be eligible to apply for licensing by examination as an IEN to FL but last I checked, FL won't issue a license until you can provide a valid-for-work social security number. (SSN are restricted to citizens, permanent residents and those with a valid work visa). The application instructions for IENs are on the FL BoN.

Look Bak at my initial post and u will see when the process of immigration will come thru
