Problem applying nclex in california

Hello, I am an foreign graduate and an rn from Philippines. I migrated here in California last Nov 11 and was planning to take nclex here but when I submit all my requirements they told me that I am not eligible to take the nclex here in Cali. They told me "that they determined that not all aspect of my theory and clinical training meet the requirements in medical surgical and obstetrics. And reflects that some and/or all clinical cases were not completed during the same semester" and they want me to enroll additional course work here in Cali. But, my friend told me i have a second choice to apply nclex in nevada, it is required to take ielts or toefl there even though you are an immigrant already? Hoping for your suggestions and ideas that can help me. Thank you and god bless!

what did you guys do? did you take additional course work? or did you just transfer to another state? I have the same problem. just got the letter 2 days ago. It was a big shock for me :o

I graduated from the Philippines in 2005. Migrated to US with a green card in 2006. I am now a US citizen. Failed Nclex-RN many times since 2006 and got frustrated and depressed. I last tested march of 2010; I had no problems with getting eligibility and ATT. Now I am married and just had my first baby. I want to retake the exam. I called CA BON 3weeks ago and to ask them if they still have my file; they asked for my SS# and found my file. They said I don't need to re-submit my requirements: I just need to pay the re examination fee and wait for eligibility; then ATT then pay pearsonvue to schedule an exam; just like normal process. Now I am reading these posts about being an IEN ... I honestly don't know what to think. Now I am scared to re apply for the exam because I don't want to waste my money on fees that cannot be refunded should problem arise. Advise please

I thought you already received the CA ATT last year or ?? Did something happen in CA?

Ahhh, okay, I see.....well, so far, as of this time, OR is the only far Western US state that's NOT enforcing the concurrency rules, but as we all know that could change at any time without notice.

Have you e-mailed the OR BON with regards to the issue of applying without a valid SSN? Then the other issue is let's say one gets the OR ATT and passes WITHOUT a SSN, but will the BON issuee the actual license if there's still no SSN? There are a few posters from PH who passed the NM boards, but can't get the actual license until they provide the NM BON with a SSN.

But back to OR, I'm sure other than the usual requirements of having one's transcripts evaluated and passing an English proficiency examination, she should be okay.

I certainly wouldn't wait very long to apply into OR, changes are happening so fast. You blink and the opportunity is gone.
