Passed CA NCLEX 2008, just got SSN this 2012, applied for CA-RN license

Hi to all! I passed the nclex last 2008. I just got my SSN last month as an employer based immigrant. Just a week ago, I submitted my Completed Application for Licensure by Examination including a U.S. social security number as instructed by the CA BON. My school also forwarded the needed documents.

My questions are:

Has someone gone through the same thing as I am?

What happened?

Did they release your license or not?

If yes: How long did you wait for your license?

If not: What did they say? Can you send me a copy? Did they make you do further studies?

--As i have said, I am on employment based petition, so with this, my employer is waiting for my license. With this, my life is on hold. I hope to be enlightened with this. Thank you so much.

I just want to ask, your exam state is California and you are working in Seattle and the only way to have an active license in California is through licensure by endorsement?

My exam state is from Saipan. I made an endorsement of my RN license to California back in 2006 when I was still in the Philippines. I waited and waited for so long but because of the retrogression I was not able to provide the board of nursing in California my SSN. I moved to Canada and lived there for 6 years. Applied for a license in the state of Washington and recently just moved in Seattle and started a travel nursing position. I reapplied to the state of California after I got my SSN last June and thankfully, because I still have my letter from the board back in 2006 for approval pending SSN, they gave me a license.

If your original exam state is California, you will apply for License by Examination. You will not take the NCLEX exam again but you will have to send with your application, the NCLEX pass letter in California.

I called them for update last Friday and also to ask if there is anything else they will be needing, just because I paid for the CGFNS eDAS to send a copy my record from them (except for the educational breakdown). They acknowledged the receipt from CG and forwarded them to my analyst, no additional requirement was asked so far. As you know, the documents from college was lost under their possession, I had my tracking to prove that they received them, but I guess there is nothing I can do if they say they didn't received them. I have to provide what they need to process my license. As painful as it can get, what the mail from BRN says that it will take a minimum of one month from the moment they receive the document for them to review the application. CGFNS sent them third week of Oct.

So how about you and the others?

Hi, still no updates for my application either, going to be 10wks now.. been calling BRN everyday but i cant get through..

Called them again this morning.. csr will follow up on my application and forward it to the supervisor. Last touch was Oct. 17. He told me to wait again for 2-3 weeks for an update and they will call me..

Called Ca BRN last friday and finally talked to someone.They haven't seen or received or touched or opened the documents i sent to them 5weeks ago via UPS same day delivery!!. instead he gave me an email and fax number to send my documents again... it's really frustrating and they told me to call for follow up 2-3wks after..as if it is easy to contact them.. its my 12th week now of waiting..huhu

I just spoke to one of the Analyst maybe because I just followed the IvR on the CaBon last Friday and was told that he will make a follow up request and forward it to the Suoervisor. Today I got an email to update my breeze account. When I updated my profile, I saw an entity number. Also on the applicant activities I have my RN file # but the application status shows pending status ( RN initial Application ).

I also called today, lunch time. The representative made an assurance that I am on the line-up and told me to make a follow up next week. Alright is all I can say. Im so used to this waiting game, nothing new. I came to see to this website to see whats going on with you guys, it never popped into my mind to check the breeze coz I had just made an inquiry earlier but then I thought why not check again...and viola there showed my license number. Freaking 114 days!!! 16weeks Ive waited for this! So happy, I can't stop laughing:roflmao: and Im alone in the house:cat:

Congrats at least you got your license no. Called the Bon twice today to ask about the entity no. And was told that its like a file no. How many digits is your license no.?
