NY RN license endorsement to TX

Hello .

I am South Korea educated nurse who is trying to endorse my Newyork license to Texas.

I did all the steps and sent required document to Texas Board of Nursing but one thing kept me confused is...

Verification of licensure from South Korea.

I called BON about it and they told me to send form of license verification to Korean BON and have them send that paper back to them. huh?? -0-

I am simply lost here.

Is there any Korean RN who works in Texas also had to go through same problem like l did?

Please help me..

To endorse your US licence to Texas, you must have a validation on all active and inactive licences you may have. Although I hold a Michigan licence whilst I was endorsing to Texas I had to have a validation of my UK licence. As the Korean BON is not part of the nursey's programme you have to have it validated on paper form by Korean BON as that was where you were issued a licence in the past. I hope this makes things a bit clearer. All you do is contact them and arrange to send the validation form to them in Korea they will complete this and return to Texas BON (Sometimes a cost may be involved) but it shouldn't be an issue.
