World Registration

Published

Hi everyone!

My name is ineligibleRN, I've been in states for five mos now, and i love it! hollywood..

I've recieved my diploma of ineligibility from BRN(congraats to me!:D), and im required to take MS.

I've called all the schools, nothing is pretty clear for me. almost all said no, the others were full, and the others are in wait list for next year.

Wow, im blown away.. Im overwhelmed by this requirements.. First of all, i graduated 2010. second, im afraid that waiting for this may result to taking up the entire 4 year course again...third, LVN takes 5mons of evaluation. fourth, CNA requires me to take course again.

do you know a school that allows students to enrol?

is it true that after 3 years of not attaining your lisence you are required to study again?

does texas have concurrency issues like ca? (i hope i hear from a recent eligible texas nclex taker)

thanks guys!! GOD BLESS US ALLL!!!!! always pray!! HE WILL HELP!!!

love love!

Do a quick search for schools on this forum. This thread is a a place to start: https://allnurses.com/nurse-registration/ca-schools-offering-806046.html

So far, schools are not quite ready to open and offer deficient courses for Internationally Educated Students yet.

TX is not on this thread's list of states with issues: https://allnurses.com/nurse-registration/13-states-same-760249.html. There have been various other threads regarding TX.

You are always welcome to apply, just make sure you meet all the requirements.

Good luck!

Just remember that it takes a while for schools to open up. Sure, they can wake up one day and say, "I want to open a school." But, it takes time for paperwork and red tape and brick walls what-not.

Patience grasshopper.

Or go the other routes.

Good luck!

Hi there! I graduated in the Philippines in May 2006, I worked as a nurse until December 2007 then I came here to US. I applied for nclex RN on February 2008, got the eligibility letter around August 2008 then I took the exam in December 2008. Obviously failed, didn't have any idea that nclex is really hard even though I have experiencing work as a nurse. Nclex is a perfect world! After that I decided to work as a caretaker and this is why I am replying to you ESPECIALLY to foreign graduates. Unless you don't have anybody paying for your bills like my situation OR you are REALLY sure you will pass, please do NOT work when you're preparing for the nclex! Second time I took the nclex on April 2010. of course i was still working and even after I studied really hard, still I didn't pass. I was really upset at myself but hey life goes on. So the third time I applied for the nclex on April 2012, the California BRN asked for all my cases in medsurg n OB. I was upset too but I did it and asked my school to send it to BRN. After that, another sad thing from BRN. The person who was the analyst of my files, sent me a letter that I had to retake psychiatric class. I was so sad and even went to the BRN office all the way to Sacramento from SoCal, but the analyst said that I have to retake it, because other people also have other classes to be taken. So yeah I decided to apply for lvn exam, until i figured out when will i take the psych since i am working. i sent the lvn declaration paper in December 2012 and until now I haven't got the eligibility to take lvn exam. I heard some got it but some also got another letter that requires them to send their high school diploma. But up to right now, I am just waiting for the eligibility letter to take lvn. My boyfriend who just graduated n passed nclex RN right now told me to not give up..so ya, if anybody know info about the eligibility for lvn, please share it here, appreciated.. Thanks n God bless!

It seems others have reported that they are just now working on the LVN applications from the October, 2012 stack of piles. Not sure, if it's due to lack of staffing for processing or the extra flood of applicants that were denied the RN exam or a combination. My guess a combination with the flood coming from the foreign (PH) side due to the concurrency issues or deficient courses. Kabayans, hang on tight!

For the RN, it's other countries as well. There has been some instances of UK, Aus, and Germany. Also, there is one school in the USA that they deny.
