New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

World Registration

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Part 1 thread New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand - Nursing for Nurses

There is a tab NATIONAL BOARDS, you will see nursing and midwifery click again and you'll find FORMS along with INTERNATIONALLY QUALIFIED NURSES AND MIDWIVES. The form to use is the AGOS-04, all the requirements are stated in that form.

The AHPRA site can be confusing at first but you will be alright, just do take your time in exploring the site.

Thats it! and very straightforward. thankyou again Aking_skye.:D

And now i will be completing my requirements. from scratch. and hopefully, ill be on for this June class.

one more thing, CRITERION FOUR says: "Applicant must have practised nursing and/or midwifery as defined by the definition of ‘practice’ contained in the NMBA recency of practice registration standard" - page 1 says zero experience is possibe. how is that. and for the record, i had never been employed in any institution. not even for volunteer or trainee wok. all i have is BLS, ACLS, ECG, IVT. will those count?:)

Wow! welcome back cioman94! Just want to ask how was your stay there? Were are you in Australia? How was the job, living expenses, etc. Mind sharing the work and living experience there? Thanks a lot! :D

Guys, how did you ask IDP to send your IELTS result to AHPRA? Or is it the review center you went through was the one who ask IDP to send it? Hope someone clears this up for me.:)

In my case, my review center provided me a form(application for the issue of additional TRFs) that should be filled out and I personally sent it to IDP manila. You also have to pay a specific amount as you will be paying for the mail fee that IDP will be sending to AHPRA. The time it takes for your result to arrive to AHPRA depends on how much you pay for the mailing fee though - settling for the cheaper one could take a long time. By the way, i think IDP only accepts manager's check.

I hope this helps.

Hi! is anybody here applying for the VCHN intake in february?

^ Aww thanks so much bellaire for the response. I guess I have to contact my review center regarding this thing. My only problem is that I'm far from Manila. Maybe I could just have it mail to IDP in Manila by my review center here:)

to those who already have their eligibility/pre-registration letter from AHPRA... what is the date on the letter and how many days until it arrived in your mail box? thanks!

hi everyone.:)

i scanned the requirements for AHPRA. and in the proof of identity section CATEGORY A, i need a passport with visa. why is that? isnt it I should be applying first for the eligibility at AHPRA before enrolling in a university for BP, then last is to acquire a visa. im confused.

what I understand from the requirements is that you just need a valid passport. The visa thing is the last that you will have to comply in order to go to AU.

I'm far from Manila as well that is why from my previous response, I mailed it to IDP Manila. I had the TRF sent by DHL. I'm sure your review center can help you with it. You can mail it yourself to Manila though..saves time and money waiting for somebody to send it for you..Along with the TRF, you also need to send a photocopy of your IELTS result to IDP Manila.

Cheers!

Thankyou princessblush.:D

So that means that i am on the right track? Ill be doing this:

>Pass requirements at AHPRA

>Wait for eligibility letter

>Enroll for BP

>Get Visa

KUDOS!
