Nope, I am not for this May intake. I am from IRON batch 1 of La Trobe and is already working here at the Bendigo Base Hospital....pmd uLast edit by chabeli on Apr 25, '12 - Apr 25, '12 by chabelifor what intake are you? not a lot of part time jobs here in Bendigo especially if it's not school break. It's also not feasible coz you will be at the Uni whole day and your placement is shift hours at the aged care or hospital..... most of the jobs here ask you for permanent days where you can work like if you say i can only work MOndays, etc..... you can try to look for weekend jobs but then again most of the Uni students also work weekends....so basically, competing with current students already....
maybe after your course , if you get the ealry exit you can find a job...
for accomodation, i can give some suggestions..just pm meLast edit by chabeli on Apr 25, '12 - Apr 25, '12 by chabeliQuote from Cris88to be honest, it doesn't matter....hospitals just look at your license not from which school you came from so it's very different from the PHilippines where the school matters....I'm just thinking at which bridging program is better? I'm looking into either La Trobe @ bendigo or Deakin @ burwood. Any thoughts on this?
bendigo is 2 hrs by train away from Melbourne and Deakin is closer to Melbourne.... either of the schools are good coz they follow the same standards required by AHPRA....probably the edge of la Trobe Bendigo is your placement is still within Bendigo while Deakin i heard puts you in different hosptials which could sometimes mean you have to look for accomodation close to that hospital if you do't want to be commuting after your 10pm shiftCris88 and ladydee-rn like this. - Apr 25, '12 by chabeliQuote from doydoyhi chabeli! i am for the may intake of la trobe bendigo. i was so happy to see your post! are you also for this intake? i do not have a place to stay yet in the bendigo area though i reserved a room, just for my arrival on the 24th of may. my friend who's offering me a place lives in melbourne and its like a 2 hours ride i guess from there. do you have any suggestions? hope to hear from you soon!hi doydoy,

Got my visa April 23.
So there
28 days in total. But I think it would really depend on your case officer.
Thank you for sharing the time frame of your visa application. I hope mine would have a positive result in an earlier time since my bridging course is fast approaching. May I know what were the medical examinations included? Thank you. - Apr 25, '12 by cuidadohi guys,
