  1. i can't find threads in the AU/NZ section of this website pertaining to unemployed BP grads. maybe there really is greener pasture there... or there's something i don't know yet until i experience "it"
  2. thank you so much ciaoman94
  3. hello everyone!

Two months ago, I had the chance to talk with someone who's just waiting for her confirmation letter from a university. She told me that, I can submit my application for registration before taking the IELTS, but now it's a different thing. I need to provide evidence of the successful completion of IELTS together with my application for registration...

I am planning to submit all the requirements before this year ends then go to UAE and finish a 2-year contract. Sending the necessary documents I guess won't be that hard if I'm already in UAE, because my sister is in Victoria. but my problem is, will it take 2 years or more for the whole process of application for the BP in Aus to finish before I go there?

I know a doctor, it took him 3 years before he was approved and got his plane ticket...

what about my IELTS, di ba it will expire in 2 years?

I need some advice... pls help me in my dillemma. hehe!

    Thanks a lot!

hi nosaj! how long (weeks? months?) did it take AHPRA to reply to you from the time you sent to them your documents? another question, does castlemaine require you the 456 visa? i thought it is more convenient post-BP graduation if one holds the business visa...
hi glioblastoma, the letter was dated june 15,2010 and it was still the nbv who assessed me. it took around 4 months because i had to send additional documents..
no, castlemaine didint require a specific visa... tnx for the reply!
  5. hi cioman94, thank you so much for your reply, yes i already read th diac website regarding visa 456, i just have a few questions that u might help me with.

In the application form for visa 456 theres a question asking if i intend to enter australia on more than one occasion and if i answer yes, they want me to give details regarding it.. what do u think should i put there as details?

in the application, they are also asking me for employment details, the two choices are EMPLOYED and SELF EMPLOYED. the problem is im only a nurse trainee, which makes me officially not employed in the hospital.. which box should i put a check on?
I really hope u can help me. tnx!

hello, just wanna got straight to the matters:

    1) forget that doctor with 3 years.. its one in a billion, what happened to him.. are we clear, okey..

    2) it is really advisable for your own good to have IELTS and everything else complete and submitted so that it will be filed "orderly".. AHPRA is still in transition mode, better if your documents are already complete (instead of it being filed as "pending").

    3) on how many months will it take for AHPRA to evaluate and give you an eligibility letter, that nobody knows for now... it may take 3 mos. or 6 mos. or more... nobody knows yet, but for the sake of betting, better bet it would take them more than 3 months (for sure you will win the bet)..

    4) having said that, once you receive your eligibility letter (whenever that may be), the letter has an "expiry" whereby you are given (lets say for example) 2 years for you to enrol in BP.. But i dont know exactly what is the "expiry" duration now (sorry i dont know everything)..

    5) if i am in your case, i would be "happier" if i have my sister in the Philippines who will take care of my documentation needs.. your documents are ofkors here in the Phils., so if ever you need something or AHPRA requires you something, then it would be good if you have a relative who will follow up and knows how to get documents here in the Phils. where you study (and worked).. Your sister in Victoria would still be a big advantage in your part.. anyway,, thats just a minor issue.. the thing is just make sure that you know what are the documents needed and you have already prepared them or have requested a relative to obtain them when you are already in UAE.. I think you got my point..

    6) IELTS will expire 2 years, but once you applied at AHPRA and received eligibility letter then that's good already, so no problem.. Meanwhile, I think BP schools does not require IELTS, but please check this one to be sure..

    7) just dont forget that enrolling in BP schools is very competitive, example if you apply for enrolment now, either they will accept you or not,, and if they accept you, well they may accept you for next year's batch.. thus you cannot totally control this thing, unless you are very blessed..

    8) i dont know what do you want? do you want to go BP as soon as possible? or do you want to finish your 2 year UAE contract before going BP? since i dont know this, i could not give you a specific advice.. nonetheless the above information i gave are enough for you to analyze your situation and arrive with a decision.

nways, just post again for any further questions you may have.. good luck..

other forumers, please correct any mistakes i may have above.. thanks..

hi, this is drednag's wife. drednag is now in australia (maybe sleeping from that long flight as of this moment hehehehe)..anyway, i know a little about the application for 456..so here it goes:

there really is just one golden rule for filling up of forms: be truthful, never ever misdeclare anything. that said...

for the question asking if one intends to enter australia on more than one occasion, for drednag's case, he answered yes because a 456 visa allows you only to be in australia for 3 months. and the bp takes approximately 3 months, so you have to exit australia after the bp. but, in drednag's case, he needed to be back in australia after the bp to process his application for registration. so, he answered yes. as a result, he was given a multiple entry 456 visa.

[color=#483d8b]on your employment details ( this is just my opinion) since a nurse trainee is not an employed nurse nor a self-employed nurse, then you should not check that portion. i gather you are not employed in areas other than nursing, right? and you also do not have your own business? then answer no if there is a box for that or if none, leave that portion blank for the simple reason that you have no employment details.

[color=#483d8b]i wish you all the best in your application.

  9. Hi all. Firstly apologies if the answers to my questions are here allready. There is so much information that I coul'nt get through it all.
I'm an RN. I'm Irish and am a PR of Australia. I'm returning to Australia shortly after some time away.
My girlfriend is Filipino. A RN, Midwife and a Physio. She has only volunteer work as a RN from the Philippines. She only recently got her Midwife exam in the Philippines. She has around 1 yr's experience as a PT. She's 32.
She's just going to sit here IELTS next month. I don't mean to tempt faith but she hopes to get the required 7 this time (narrowly missed out the last time).
    My questions are;
    Can she immigrate to Australia?
I'm certain she has got 110 points on the skilled immigration points test.
But will she qualifly for such a visa?
Will she have to do a bridging programme? How much would it cost?
    Should she apply for sponsership?
We just don't know what to do. We've been apart so long and we're afraid of loosing our relationship.
How can I get her to Australia? What's the fatest, easiest, cheapest way?? PLEASE advise.
p.s We don't want to get married so that she could get a visa.
