New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

World Registration

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Hello there! Good day! I have same concerns with glitzdelight re the INTERNSHIP/OBSERVERSHIP in the CV format... do we need to mention all our clinical and community rotations during college, since level II until level VI, per week or month??? is the summary of RLE the document we need to attach because it does not reflect our internship, it just shows the number of hours... Help please and enlighten us with this... Thanks so much :nurse::confused::redpinkhe

Hello 14162s001, if I may ask where you from?

I went to my school asking for my RLE rotations and they told me that they dont have a copy (thank God I saved my rotational index cards). So I told them that I still have my index card (which is just handwritten) and can I just photocopy it and they certify it as my evidence for my CV. You know what's their reply? I need to make another copy in a separate bondpaper include all the necessary info (area, time, rotation date, CI) then have it signed by the CI per rotation. I was like, "WWWHHHHAAAATTTT?!" shock! I need to find every other CI per rotation. And to think during my student days one CI is very difficult to find. And their are CIs who already left!

Do you think it's a good idea that instead of doing the CI-search thing, I photocopy my rotational index cards and let it sign by the lawyer? huhuhuhu. Help anyone? :scrying:

Hello glitz and 14162s001,

I don't know what's the right thing to do for your application but let me share what I did. I made a comprehensive list under the intership/observership in my CV. I listed the names of the hospitals, dates, the clinical area of exposure/ rotation and even my responsibilities. The only document I sent them to support it is my summary of RLE which includes only the name of the hospitals(with bed capacity)and name of towns and schools where we did our community service. That's all that is written there about my hospital and community exposures. I got my elig. letter last December and my registration officer didnt ask for additional proofs. Just sharing.

Hey Eve, welcome to the thread!

Im thinking of doing the ARNTP. But probably August. Did you have to get AHPRA approval? I emailed them but they haven't replied. I just resent my email a few minutes ago.

Hi Doza! I didnt get ahpra approval for ARNTP. They actually do not need it upon application. ARNTP only has April and October intake for this year i think. Good luck to you!

Hi! I'm new here. Anybody who is bound to take the ARNTP this April at the Univ of South Australia?

..

Hi miss Eve! I am taking the same course this April at UniSa. Are you too?:nurse:

@ Mikyong, thanks a lot for the great help and just want to ask if you don't mind, if how long have you waited for your eligibility letter to arrive and which state in OZ, when did you start sending your application to AHPRA, and were you able to secure a slot for BP intake for this year and which school??? sorry for the unnecessary questions but I'm just so clueless, and I'm seriously considering OZ :):nurse::)

Thanks a lot in advance for all your replies and Godbless :):nurse::)

hi glitz and 14162,

Thanks Eve. I remembered the wrong month haha. October is even better for me:)

Does ARNTP in UniSa require paid experience?

Anyone going for the IRON intake at La Trobe?

I inquired today and they are still accepting applicants for the May intake.

I hope I get my eligibility soon.
