    hi konoha,

thanks a lot for the info in your timeline.let's not give up and be positive always..good luck in ur review. i added u already.

@Jinxedminx,i think u can still appeal to CFGNS-CES for your case. u can send handwritten letter to the person in charge for it. Me, i sent one last week for some corrections on my school name and they advised me to do it handwritten. it's our right to do some corrections if valid since we paid their services..good luck!

To jinxedminx (maybe you should change that moniker, lol, you're truly getting "jinked")

but yea, I would do what Daisy said, ask for another re-evaluation, but at no cost, or at least submit the funds but ask if they can withold it (but maybe they are too big of a company to do so)

I think you're right and if that happens to my friend, that's what we should do...write an good explanation and based on your penmanship, you're a darn good writer! Good luck!

Oh really, you also had to make corrections? They said it has to be handwritten? It can't be type written and mailed or emailed?

Haha. I was expecting someone to say that, surprised it didn't happen sooner. XD I'm very Catholic and not superstitious.. so my username would be the last cause I would blame. I didn't know we can change it though, how can you do that?

Lol, thanks.. but no good penmanship will guarantee accuracy on their part. I'm a little hesitant though because of that one poster who was required to take BOTH PA and Medical-surgical nursing. You can see the letter here: http://allnurses.com/international-n...ml#post6835033 I believe you came across it before... but if you look closely at what's written in the letter... Nevada's reason for requiring med-surg is because of her clinicals not being concurrent... but that's just weird because how in the world did they know that based on the CES report?? CGFNS can't see the clinical schedule based on the transcripts alone, they would need to ask for additional documents like CA BON did. Kuyafern speculated that perhaps that info was endorsed to Nevada from CA. I know for sure I'll be needing a re-evaluation done (whether they charge me or not), but I'm a bit concerned that when Nevada looks over it, even if my PA hours are fixed, they might give me the requirement to do Med-surg because of concurrency. @_@

OMG! I didn't read that one thread, since so many are so disappointing , but yes, you're right, NV does have the same "concurrency" rules, even back to 1952! I know kuyafern and I have concurred that we'll soon see about half of the States will be enforcing the concurrency rules. CA goes back to 1987.

It makes me think somewhere along the way, CHED, PRC and the PNA altered the curriculums in some certain years and these possible changes is what has affected so many of us! Maybe the earlier nurses from PH did in fact, do their courses in the right manner as spelled by the USA BON's of at the least the States that were heavily favorable to the PH nurses.

Maybe when the USA was having its "nursing shortage" with CA being one of them, many in the Phils saw a great business opportunity to take advantage of this "booming" need, so thus the explosion of PH nursing schools and this caused the demand to keep the courses concurrent was not longer possible with tons of students needing to complete their cases before graduation.

The supply of PH nurses just exceeded the actual needs, as what was happening at the same time, was the hugh increase of USA educated nurses graduating to fulfill the local needs as it was costing the hospitals too much money to sponsor a foreign nurse AND to wait 6 years or more, unlike the hiring years before. That's why it's rare now to find a hospital willing to sponsor a foreign nurse today and we see here where many foreign nurses have waited years to come on staff only to have the hospital revoke that privilege and cancel the contract and many foreign nurses are stuck in trying to find a replacement sponsor.

Then, we find that the "demand" for PH nurses will not occur until 2020, which now seems like that's where we're headed. But with all USA nursing schools still experiencing the high demand and wait listing of students and high unemployment rates of new grads nationwide, I think 2020 is being conservative and more like add another 5 years or decade to that.

I know there are facilities needing nurses in the nursing homes, SNF, LTC, personal care taker, private nursing, etc, but many of us younger nurses are preferring to work in the medium to larger hospitals (just speaking for at least myself and many of my friend's and their friends). But I know many PH students and grads always say they will work anywhere, but the truth is that's not always the case, when it comes down to working where our "true passion" is at (be it in ER, L&D, Med-surg, Peds, ICU, Organ transplant, Onology and the many many different specialities).

if Nevada state somehow finds about my concurrency problems without asking for my cases I will be shocked. All I know is that CGFNS evaluates transcripts course by course. I didn't apply in California either so there's no way they can get that information from them. Kinda scary to think that states can endorse your papers to other states specially with nonconcurrent issues. I currently hold my actual cases with me and the school has their own copy but I doubt they'll send the copy cause CGFNS didn't require cases.

Maybe you might get lucky, just like the students who applied in CA before a certain deadline date or month, it will be accepted without any problems?
