by tintinatinapot Jul 5, '12Hi everyone! I have couple of questions.
I wanna know if the state of Nevada require to have a local license to be eligible to sit for NCLEX-RN?
Can I use my address here in California when I apply to take exam in Nevada or I must have a Nevada address?
Your reply will be much appreciated. Thank you.

- Jul 5, '12 by Kuyafern1)Do you mean an RN license from your country? It would depend on the situation. In my situation I'm a US citizen and I believe that it's possible for me to take the exam in the Philippines but could not receive the license because I am not a Filipino citizen.
2)Yes you can use your address in California. Just follow Nevada's requirements.
How to apply for RN/LPN Licensure :: Nevada State Board of NursingGood luck - Jul 5, '12 by steppybayQuote from KuyafernI know of other USC's that did take the local exam, they simply didn't check off the box in the application. It is to their benefit in some states they may require it. It helps to add it to your resume, I think. At least it looks better to a person reviewing your work application.1)Do you mean an RN license from your country? It would depend on the situation. I just want to know what are the difference between the RN and LPN exam.
- Jul 5, '12 by steppybayQuote from KuyafernI asked the same question myself. It seems from looking around this site, it's mixed, it really depends on the person, I know 50-50 is not a good answer.Has anyone taken the LPN exam? But I would say however, most feel that the LVN (LPN) exam was more difficult than the NCLEX-RN. There was more critical thinking in the LVN examinations.
It seems true in reading that many LVN's actually have more clinical experiences than those studying for the RN degree. - Jul 6, '12 by KuyafernThanks for the reply steppybay. I was wondering if I should challenge the LVN/LPN exam or not. I'm currently studying for the NCLEX-RN. Have you applied for the exam as well? I'm a little bit worried because the school hasn't received my request forms. It's taking a long time.

- Jul 26, '12 by akopocjuan@tintinatinapot and @pogingnurse Hey!. I'm actually planning to take the NCLEX-RN in NV too.. I just ditched my plan to take the NCLEX-RN here ni CA because of a lot reasons like being denied for insufficient units or duty hours, or even the cases that I have handled in my practice of nursing in the PI. But my other option is taking the NCLEX-LPN/LVN here in CA.. so guys, if you can give some help regarding this matters just e-mail me! johnrobertmedoza@gmail.com
