and steppybay, what state and what year did you take nclex? would you like to share your success story so that i/others may also gain insight from it....
No success story, applied in CA, no luck like everyone else, lol. But a couple of other batchmates and I are still planning to take a trip to other parts of the state to look around.

Oh, one other thing you guys need to take into consideration for the state of IL, is that like some other states there's a limit to take the NCLEX-RN for a maximum of 3 attempts. If you fail all three tries, then you're required to take a refresher course, sometimes other courses.

If you don't pass the NCLEX-RN by the third year of your approved application, then you have to enroll in a brand new nursing program for two years and then allow to re-apply.

So keep that in mind to whatever state you are applying into for: the limitation of the NCLEX-RN attempts, the time limit to pass the NCLEX. Most important is how is the job market for international nurses, especially if you're interested in primarily a hospital job.

Hi! I am applying for New York State and I am also processing it by myself coz' agency fees are too expensive. I started with the Credential Verification for New York State (CVS) of CGFNS and recently they sent me a report that they already received that from prc and just waiting for my school to return the form to cgfns so they can send a report to NY BON. However, I have not passed any application to BON yet since CGFNS processing time for CVS is 6-8mos. Now, can someone help me out or probably enlighten me on applying for new york? I'm not quite sure if i'm doing everything right. Big thanks for those who will respond.

By the way before I can submit to New York BON, I will be taking up an online course about child abuse then I'll received a certificate after completing the course then that I will submit together with the form to NY BON. Am I doing it correctly? I'm planning on submitting this month since cgfns doesn't have any report yet.

Hi nehgarcia. I am from NJ, i plan to take nclex in NY instead of NJ because NJ required SSN. Can you help me in what should I do first based on your experience? Your reply will be a big help.
