I'm a student from India.I am planning to write NCLEX.I completed CVS for NY state. Then,I registered for the exam and got a confirmation letter saying the amount has been received and I got an NCLEX id.When will I get my ATT?When I called NY board they said they didn't get an application.I got confused and I don't think an application is required to know my eligibility.I actually wanna know when I will receive my ATT.Do i have to do something after registering in PearsonVue??

Welcome

You need to register with Pearsonvue and they will send you your ATT once the BON tells them it is OK

Did you apply to the NY BoN? After CGFNS submits the report to NY. You must apply to the board of nursing who evaluates your credentials then determines whether to issue an ATT

I saw that non US graduates don't have to submit an application form. It's given on the NY BON website itself.

You still have to submit an application form and fee to NY before they will make a decision. I believe form 1 is what you have to complete

Not true. All candidates must submit an application to the BoN to be considered for a nursing license by examination. IENs must complete CGFNS CVS prior to submitting an application. IENs must submit form 1, CVS is submitted in lieu for form 2.

"All applicants for licensure must complete this form (form 1) and submit it with the $143 licensure and first registration fee directly to the Office of the Professions at the address at the end of Form 1. Make checks payable to the New York State Education Department. NOTE: Your cancelled check is your receipt."

If you haven't submitted form one and the application fee you will NEVER be issued an ATT and forfeit the Pearson Vue registration fee as its only valid for a year.

You must complete and submit this form: http://www.op.nysed.gov/prof/nurse/nurse1.pdf

Now this is great.I just found out that I did give them an application. All these happened due to communication error. But I'm wondering why they told me they didn't receive an application!!!

If you are a non-U.S. nursing program graduate, you may only apply for the examination after receiving a letter from the New York State Education Department notifying you that your education has been approved and you are now eligible to sit for the examination.http://www.op.nysed.gov/prof/nurse/nursing.htm..What does this mean?

If you look further down under examination it explains that form 1 still needs to be completed. What it basically saying is not to register with Pearsonvue until the OK from the BON as foreign nurses may struggle due to Pearsonvue only having 12 month window and sometimes the process can take longer with the BON

Oh!I think I do have to wait a little more.I'm just a little worried about the time to get my ATT..Thanks a lot for making everything clear for me.I will post my updates.

If you never filed part 1 & paid the $143 to the NYBoN you will wait forever
