Hi @patringrn,My problem is AHPRA told me to withdraw my application first and then apply again. Actually, I dont really see the point of withdrawing and then repeating the process of registration all over. haisst.. I will also be waiting for Ahpra's email.. And I will try to seek for earlier course of intake. Thanks.
TO ALL OTHERS HAVING EXTENSION PROBLEMS with the vic branch of AHPRA

    This is correctness gone mad.

If an applicant from overseas applied through Queensland AHPRA office can demand, after a few phone calls, an extension of over 6 months at the Queensland office of AHPRA and get it and someone else can get an extension at NSW for a few weeks , then an applicant applied through Victoria can get an extension of 1 month

Do not bother with case officers, given them lots of talk that you can see their point of view but you would like the advice of the top dog.....email or write URGENT CONFIDENTIAL to ******do not post names of personnel per site ToS******NMBA at Canberra office and explain your problem do not delay.

ALL AHPRA offices should be working from the same page and not all these different regulations. You have nothing to loose, I am a shareholder in this too.

That's right it seems that officers in victoria are quite strict and should not be like that. Their rules and regulations should be synced no matter which state you applied in.

do you have the e-mail add *****do not post names/contact information of staff/personnel as per site ToS*****? the only way to contact ahpra now is via the web enquiry found at the AHPRA website... I actually have no idea if the queries are seen by the case officers but they do ask the ahpra registration number...
this is really difficult!! others get extended, others not.
The first time I called AHPRA i was told that its okay because my BP will start while the eligibility is still valid. The next time I called I was told that I may or may not be considered for registration because my eligibility expired before the BP ended.. they have different answers everytime!! I do hope I get a favorable answer in writing though. This is the only thing keeping me back...

Don't email them using the general inquiry form, make sure you call them so you can get the answer real time

When you ring and demand to get someone in some authority and they say that it is fine to continue your bp course, make sure you get their name, record, phone number that you first rang, take notice of the time.

Ask the person that you speak to, can you have it in writing as you have been put through the wringer with all the different advices and get their email.

Once you have an email address you can write and say that you are confirming what was discussed in the telephone call made - date-time and or give them your email.

Any reasonable person would understand you needing this after your explanation of the poor organisation skills of AHPRA offices with continuation of rules and regulations with other AHPRA offices.

http://www.nursingmidwiferyboard.gov...Australia.aspx board members of the Victorian office, I know this is taking it quite high, but something must be done with different rules from one state to another, they must do something about it.

  8. may i ask again,
    >if im going to submit my application in aphra tasmania(due to less applicants in that state), will it be possible for me to take my BP in victoria/melbourne or it will be limited to schools in tasmania?

    >regarding CATEGORIES ABCD (proof of identity), is there a need for me to pass a separate letter that i cannot provide any documents in that category?

    > and how about question 29 in aphra agos 40 form: about migration agent?(is IDP can be considered?) or significant other (if i have any relative in aus?)...what if i dont have any of the 2?

    thank you so much...

"" submit my application in aphra tasmania(due to less applicants in that state), ""

    Also less assessors.

If you cannot provide any proof of identity then you will not be able to apply as a nurse...it is mandatory that you prove who you are and that it is you that has completed a nursing degree in your country.

Just leave blank the migration agent if you have not used one.

Hi @stereo,I am having the same thoughts and experience to AHPRA Vic officers. How were you able to handle your case? I am trying to "humbly beg" them one for time for extension, if not, I will ask if I can have my registration docs passed to another state. Actually, when I asked them for the first time for extension of LOE, after they told me to withdraw and re apply again, I asked her if IT IS REALLY PROHIBITED in all STATE, she never replied back to me which gave me the idea that silence means I still have the chance to ask if I can have my docs pulled out from them.
Hi pring, just do what you can. But as for me, I have no choice but to send a refund request to at least get back the 1/4 of what I paid last year. She's the one who suggested for the refund though so that's for a change on her side. My request should arrive next week and the refund will be automatically sent to my visa card. The request must be in postal mail so technically I have to spend a thousand pesos before I can get that refund.
