Register Today!- Aug 10, '12 by khlei87Quote from nursemajeeermm, i think it is true. i submitted my application at WA and it took 4 months before i received my LOE. while those who submitted at VIC, it only took them 1 month.Congrats! Where did you send your application? Based on what I've read, Western Australia takes a long time to respond. Is that true?

- Aug 10, '12 by marklouiemarcoHi, I just would like clarify some information regarding the 457 visa. According to the new update from the immigration website, they will now require IELTS for the 457 applicants. In our case, during the initial registration in AHPRA to be eligible to study in Australia, we have to submit our IELTS. My case officer told me that once I get enrolled in a school, i would not need to get an IELTS again since I have already submitted that during the initial application. However, since my IELTS will expire during the course period, I am worried about it once an employer applies for my 457 visa in the future. What do I do? Can someone please enlighten me. Some of my friends who also got expired IELTS were not asked to resit the exam and they were given 457 visas.
- Aug 10, '12 by ceridwynIelts7 was always required for fora457 visa an english requirement has always been required and if it wasfor a profession that required a certain standard then a ielts of that was required.
That was until July this year, not sure what is happening now. You have been lied too.
AHPRA however do not seem to be phased if you have an out of date english assessment when registering.Last edit by ceridwyn on Aug 11, '12 - Aug 10, '12 by marklouiemarcoso if this is the case, as long as i have ielts during the initial application with ahpra, even if it's expired already it would be okay for as long as i can provide a copy?
- Aug 10, '12 by ceridwynA bridging school that takes on a student without a valid IELTS is taking on a risk, if negligence happened because of poor communication with a student with an out of date IELTS, the hospital or nursing home, could on paper sue that bridging school for millions.

- Aug 11, '12 by khlei87@mark I think we have the same situation. my IELTS will expire soon but i have already my LOE and hopefully i will enroll at IHNA. but i decided to take IELTS again so that i will be at peace and confident that all my requirements are up to date. we never know, when they will be changing their policies. if you dont have expired documents, you will always be safe and stress free..Last edit by khlei87 on Aug 11, '12 : Reason: additional
