Others have been granted but not in AHPRA VIC..so sad..well, i think this is the last thing i need to do, to follow up every now & then in IHNA..I see. what schools did you apply?, did you try on asking ahpra for extensions? some of the forumers here were successful in their attempts. you just have to elaborately explain to ahpra your situation, maybe you'll be given the extension. Or just be diligent in contacting IHNA for a slot in April. Actually, just do both so you'll not regret in the end.

@shandy- why was it so long for IHNA to accept you? were your documents lacking?, 3 months is too long i believe IHNA is the fastest among the bp schools in terms of application process. well, just follow up the school every now and then, i'm pretty sure there will be some who'll drop their slots for april. Just be patient,. and pray a lot! - Dec 1, '12 by micaella26Quote from Shandy012405You try to inquire for 19th of April intake in Perth. IHNA called me up a couple of weeks ago to ask if I'd like to move my intake on that date but I declined since I already decided for May in Melbourne. They said they still have vacant seats on that batch.Thank you yourprincess. I already requested from my case officer but as what i expected , she cant grant me an extension.. Others have been granted but not in AHPRA VIC..so sad..well, i think this is the last thing i need to do, to follow up every now & then in IHNA..

- Dec 1, '12 by moonyen2012That's indeed a distressing news to hear.Pls.exhaust all means to find an earlier slot.No need to choose the school nor the campus, just go whatever it is as long as you can atttend the bp before your loe expires. So many schools are there, send applications to all of them online.I read from the previous threads, however, that some forumers were granted extension after they made an appeal, that is if you can start the bp before the expiry.Pls.don't give up now.It is just a test of your endurance.I believed there is still chance, you have around 4 months to go.I agree,IHNA is the fastest, surely they will prioritize you. After you've done whatever it takes to fulfill your dreams,if you are a catholic, pls.pray the rosary everyday without fail.Good luck....
Quote from Shandy012405Hello nurses! I badly need your help. I have been striving to continue my nursing career. Been applying for almost 2 years now. Last year i applied in new zealand but it didnt went well so i decided to try again in australia. Luckily i got my approval letter last july, however, looking for school for the brdging course has been so difficult that it took me 3months before i got accepted in IHNA. To make this short, the school alreqdy gave me an offer on June 21 but another problem now is my eligibility letter which is expiring on 19 July ,2013... Worst, i got my approval from AHPRA Victoria which surely are not giving any possibility of extensions...im near to giving up, IHNA has put me on waiting list for APRIL 1 Melbourne intake which means there is no guarantee that i can be givin a slot..if anyone out there who is giving up there slot for April, please, please give me a chance to pursue my dream to become a nurse in Australia,.i cant afford to lost all everything that gave up just to get into this.. :-( - Dec 1, '12 by adel0807Quote from Shandy012405Hi Shandy012405, as I read your message you have hesitance and pessimistic mind when you said that AHPRA Vic will decline your request as you expected it to be. Did you write them your appeal or talked to your case officer? I have a strong feeling that if you'll write them and tell AHPRA that you've been accepted to BP which will end after your eligibility expires, AHPRA will grant it. I know many who've been in your situation and were indeed successful in trying. Maybe this is God's way of developing your perseverance and endurance, considering that a lot of challenges awaits us even after completing the BP. Just try it again, draft a good letter and pray. God bless on your endeavor...Thank you yourprincess. I already requested from my case officer but as what i expected , she cant grant me an extension.. Others have been granted but not in AHPRA VIC..so sad..well, i think this is the last thing i need to do, to follow up every now & then in IHNA..
