HI SHIEY ARNTP requires a STUDENT VISA. .It is a CRICOS (Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students) program so it needs a student visa. It is under Student visa Subclass 575- Non- Award Foundation. If you have a student visa you can work 20 hours per week ( or 40 hours per fortnight/2 weeks as posted by danceinstructor). . .

hi ladydee-rn!

wow! thanks for that info..loads of help for me! (and, for sure, to everyone else interested in ARNTP)

are you also doing 1? in UniSA? what months do they start their terms?

HI SHIEY i'm for October intake of Unisa. . There are 2 intakes for ARNTP, April and October. . . Good luck on your application . :)

@silverdragon. I am 36 this year with almost 10 years hospital experience. Will my age be a disadvantage in looking for a sponsor after my IRON program?

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

I know not a lot about Australia however I would have thought your experience would be a positive

Hi fellow nurses. I sent my application to AHPRA VIC and I received confirmation last July 12. However, I haven't heard from them since then. Do I have to follow up my application or do I just have to wait for further instructions? Thanks all.

Aside from that, a friend of mine recently received her LOE from AHPRA WA and she was one of those who applied when IELTS was not yet required. Meaning she only passed certification that lessons were taught in english. I know that today, IELTS is required. Having the LOE without IELTS, will there be any BP school that will accept her or she now has to take IELTS to apply for BP?

Specializes in medical-surgical.
Thank you so much for the very informative reply ladydee-rn. As always you have shed light into important things.

I was not aware that a student visa is required for ARNTP, I was under the impression that a subclass visa was what it required. Anyways, I'm crossing my fingers to make it to next year's intake. Hopefully you can make it to the October intake for this year so we can have an objective point of view about what the program is like. I look forward to your email. =)

Anyone else interested in ARNTP for early 2013? If I'm not mistaken it will be in April 2013. Let's go to Adelaaaaaide =)

hi lamarism!

im interested in ARNTP for next year.. but 1 of my concerns is financial support. how much is the tuition fee for the whole course next year? it is good to know in advance, since there is still enough time to gather funds until the start of the term

Hi danceinstructor, I actually called LTU, and asked them if there were instances that their students might finish the course in 10-12 weeks time, they told me, they were allotting 13 weeks for the program (which is the same length written on their website). Regarding IHNA - I am still not sure about the fees for January intake, but average will be around 12k..

Hi chelseaxyrene,

Based on my experience finding schools for the Bridging Program, almost all require IELTS/OET scores. But then, I would suggest that you encourage your friend to take IELTS. She may experience problems sooner or later with that. Remind her that it will still be a very very long way for us, and LOE is just the start. It is better to keep ready for all our documents than to feel sorry and repeat the whole application process all over again since we have a limited time like the validity periods. :o

Hi YOURPRINCESS Are you still working? If your experience is ongoing, they might consider your application. . I'm not really sure. . Just inquire to UniSA about this, they are prompt in answering emails. . God bless. . :nurse:

Hello there, I just got registered and I have been reading a lot of posts here. By the way, I am for the january 7, 2013 intake in IHNA, and the cost for next year is already 12500aud.
