Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines

World Registration

Hi! my agent is telling me that I need to have at least 950k to 1M pesos in my bank statement and she mentioned about 2-3 months maturity meaning the money has to stay there for that period of time. I have never read such things here in allnurses that's why I'm a bit confused. And my concern is that part of my "show money" will be used for my expenses living there so I don't exactly know how this works...

Hii do ahpra call overseas to the employr to confirm if the applicant worked there?

Hi! Anyone who was considered last jan 8? Did you receive your loe?

I have not received mine yet.

What agent are you talking about, if you don't mind?

The bridging course, more or less costs $12500 and your expenses in Aus for 3 months would cost around the same (maybe less).

It would total to around 1Million pesos.

Hi, this thread has given me a vast information with regards to AHPRA.

I lodged my application last october 22 and has received an email from AHPRA last january with my notice of requirement and who my Registration Officer is. I completed the requirements: A signed and dated CV, a statement of service with all the hours of work included. After 2 weeks, I called the AHPRA office if they received the letter from the Philippines and luckily, they confirmed a receipt.

I emailed my RO with my next step and the next day, he replied with this:

Thank you for sending the required documents. Your file will be assessed further and sent to board for review. At this moment I cannot give you a time frame, the next board meeting is in March and you can check the status in early March.

Thank you for your patience.

My question is, Is this the board review? Probably the last step in receiving the coveted LOE?

I'm quite anxious at this moment as my visa will soon expire this April.

Specializes in Pediatrics.

@manpreet: Not sure. I would say it's random as I imagine verifying each applicant would be difficult. Honestly I'd make sure all the contacts are still there just in case they do call.

@maychoi: The show money will be used to show that you can support yourself during your course yes? Hence, I don't think DIBP would mind if you appropriate some of the funds when you are actually here as you are using the money as intended.

@Pica: I'd say that what AHPRA did was acknowledge your application credentials as received. "Your file will be assessed further and sent to board for review" can be interpreted as your file is now in queue (which takes the longest). Once your application is ready for board review, your RO would be able to ascertain which date your application will be considered by the board.

Suppose the LoE is released on March (as your RO suggests), your visa is still set to expire on April. Unless you can extend your visa, you may have to wait this out in the PH and reenter as you would need a substansive visa for the duration of the BP anyway. What options have you considered?

Thank you @jmolina. I was thinking of renewing my student visa while waiting. I reckon it will cost me less rather than going home and process again my papers.

Hi.. ACN March intake here.. it would be nice if we make a group in viber.. what you think? See you all :)

@reindeguzman Hi! I got my letter of offer as well for the March intake!I'll see you then! can you pm me your email address? :)

Hi everyone,

i'd like to ask those who applied onshore if you already received your LOE by post? i received mine through email on 30December. How many weeks should we wait for it to arrive by post?

thanks

A visa processing agent. I just acquired their services because I was working overseas at that time thinking things will be easier when it comes to gathering of the requirements.I'll be using my mom's bank account as the "show money" while I use my own money for the rest of the expenses and will be borrowing some of hers too;). So If there is such thing as maturity of the account(the money has to stay intact for 2-3 months), then what's the use of showing that I have financial support when I can't even use that money? but yeah, I think this agent is just trying to push me to tie up with a financing company.

Hi Jas, My RO emailed me that we should get it within next week.
