hi vitamin_n!

Do you already have all the requirements ready? Me, not yet. Please do email me at [email protected] if you have time. Goodluck to us! :)

hello everyone, this is my first time posting here so i hope it is in the correct section. i am not a nurse myself but am writing this on behalf of my boyfriend who is a greek citizen. I am currently an australian citizen. for us, living in australia is more ideal than greece due to attitude to homosexual couples - and so i need some help with the whole migration as a nurse thing.

he has completed a 2 year course with a institute called AKMI at Thessaloniki - this is the website ΙÎ*Κ Î'ΚΜÎ-- | Ο Î--γέτÎ-Ï‚ στÎ-ν Î*κπαÎ-δεÏ...σÎ-

his course translates to english as vocational nurse i think its surgical in nature. and this is where im at, i have been to this website

Australian Nursing & Midwifery Accreditation Council | ANMAC

to try and see if he is eligible for migration as a nurse but i dont know if this is an enrolled nurse or registered nurse. and if it is an enrolled nurse it says i need to first go to the APHRA Website and register. im really confused about what to do next and if anyone could help me out with this i would really appreciate it.

Hi.

I think it would be better to contact AHPRA because all the information and the forms that needs to be filled out is already in their website. What most applicants do is they submit an application together with all the necessary requirements and then wait for the letter of eligibility to be issued by AHPRA whether they are accepting your boyfriend for registration as DIV 1 RN or DIV 2 and if he still needs to undergo a bridging program.

thanks sbeattrix for the reply

if its not too much of a bother, can you send me a link that shows the list of documents needed for ahpra registration. thanks.

go to ahpra website, click registration. click registration process. HOME »

Hi everyone, I would just like to ask if anybody knows how many theory hours and clinical hours is required for registration? My clinical placement was delayed for two weeks so I am having a problem with my visa. thanks!

Hi I got worried with your post. IHNA delayed your clinical placement? What for? I am for their August intake and I never thought clinical placements can get delayed.

Hi guys! I hope someone could give me an advice about my application for registration in AHPRA. I submitted all my requirements sometime end of May 2013 and had been charged (CC) with the application for the initial registration 6th of June 2013. Does any one have an idea as to when will I get a correspondence from an AHPRA representative that they received my application? I have read from AHPRA website that when they receive an application, they would be sending out an e-mail to the applicant stating that the application has been "received for processing". It has been almost seven weeks now and I have not received an update from AHPRA. ;(

Yes it can be delayed. Clinical placement of any nurse or midwife must meet strict criteria, one of them being a qualified nurse mentor is available one to one with student- no overcrowding! Just to get students through

One of the biggest hurdles for Au universities is finding quality placements for students the facilities are becoming inundated with requests for student placements.

As these private bridging schools have increased their number of courses and student numbers they will have trouble finding appropriate clinical placements as per AHPRA requirements all in the name of money of course students therefore will often and have in the past with the private schools not been able to complete In time of 3 months.

The college of nursing actually warns students of this problem.

And it is 6 weeks minimal in an acute facility requirement if not then it is not in the AHPRA. Criteria.
