hello.is anyone going to unisa for arntp october intake? or anybody who already took up arntp?

1.what type of accomodation is best suited for students? the most affordable?

2.what documents do i have to prepare for my registration in ahpra? i was told that i don't need to be registered with ahpra right away, and i can apply for registration weeks before graduation.

thanks. need a little help here.:(

my gf, ironmom and rv_phen are for October intake in unisa, we 3 are in the visa waiting stage... and for us, it has been 4 weeks since we lodged.. hopefully everything goes well..

look for posts by lady-dee, she has done arntp and she shared great info about her experience...

cheers!

It's also hard to find accomodation in gumtree. There are scams too. You have to know someone from here to check the place for you. Maybe there are legit places to stay but just be careful.

that's what i thought. maybe i'll go for homestay then i'll just look for cheaper accommodation when i get there.

I am not quite entirely sure, but I think the documents you might possibly be needing would be all the original documents you submitted to UNISA and the lists of Proof of identity written on AHPRA.

When I submitted my application to AHPRA last year, the requirement was atleast 1 year, not just 6 months. I think that consultancy is trying to lure you into enroling in a 2 year course because that means more money for them. If you have atleast 1 year of paid hospital experience, you don't need to take the 2year course. But if you talk about employment opportunities, it has really gotten harder; even for aus.citizens.

I don't know if the rumors were indeed true but try to call AHPRA to confirm everything about the duration of the bridging course.

Rumors have it that AHPRA has indeed abolished the IRON program and instead offers the applicants to take the 1 year program for overseas nurses. This was what I learned from some of my friends who got the advice from AHPRA themselves.

I'm currently doing my placement and will finish soon. It's been a tough ride but I say to you, hang on. Just keep on trying, I'm sure there are several ways how to apply and you might just be in luck,

Hi vitamin_n!

Yes, I am planning to take the accommodation since I don't have any relatives in Victoria. I have not paid them yet, I am planning maybe last week of this month. How about you?

Yes, I'm taking the accommodation too because I've read somewhere that transportation to the different placements is quite difficult. I'm also planning to pay on the last week.
