Nov 2, '13Quote from om'sarahCON has a massive amount of BP applicants, and the tuition is really cheap so better yet submit the application the soonest even if the intakes for next year are not yet opened coz it is really hard to get a slot from them. Sent from my iPad using allnurses.comhi i just want to ask if you will apply in AHPRA WA, the LOE lasts for 2 years? i completed all the necessary documents needed including my english exam, the problem is i am currently employed here in the middle east and my contract will expire next year if i will send my documents to any AHPRA state now with the usual 1 year validity, maybe that time my letter will expire before i enroll for bp and i am targeting CON in burwood... i contacted them last week and they said that the intake for the 2014 is still not open but i have heard and read in the forum that they received more applicants ...

Nov 11, '13Hi
I would like to inquire regarding the usual time frame for AHPRA, particularly in SA, to process the registration of international nurses, nowadays. I have read that it actually depends on the case officer and the AHPRA office to which the application was lodge.
Thank you. -
Nov 11, '13You are asking an impossible question to answer with any acuracy.
I think the time frame is 4-6 weeks and it does depend on the workload and completeness of your application and these two things are impossible to know, unless working at the SA AHPRA office.
One factor is well known, the amount of overseas nursing applications is massive at this time as to what one is less, another impossible to know answer.
Some have applied through SA, Tasmania, NT just in the hope nobody else applies there, but then they have much less staff so sending applications there in the hope of a quick assessment is a myth.Last edit by ceridwyn on Nov 11, '13 -
