hi guys! i went to my school yesterday to certify as true copy my course description and other school docs but the in-charge at the registrar told me that they only stamp (certified true copy), sign, and seal each page. But i read in the previous pages that it should be this way:

***Be initialled on every page by the Authorised Officer. Annotated on the last page as appropriate e.g.

“I have sighted the original document and certify this to be a true copy of the original” and signed by the Authorised Officer.

List the name, date of certification, and contact phone number and position number (if relevant) and have the stamp or seal of the Authorised Officer (if relevant) applied.

I asked the registrar officer if she can place this on the last page of every document but she refused. All that she can do is stamp and sign.. and seal.. but she won't place the printed name, date and contact number of the authorized officer..

will Australian Uni return my documents if were not CTC this way?hayyy..

then the registrar officer told me she will stamp, sign and seal each pages of my docs and provide an envelope from the school then enclose all the documents inside.. seal it then she will sign the envelope to certify (as a whole) that all docs were sighted by the school registrar.. is this okay?

Hi ezela.

Okay, this is how it goes. You don't have to brag about these things at the registrar. All you have to do is photocopy your original documents and go to Notary Public and have them certified there. That's it. :)

why wont you have your documents be certified/notarized with a lawyer instead?? i think all of us here did that way.. from that, no questions will be asked from you.

thanks for the swift reply @jems :)

i thought docs that came from the school must then be certified by the school. Now i am enlightened. i'll consider that.. i actually thought of that but was not sure..

p.s. the fee for the CTC c/o school registrar is only 20php per page. ive read that notary from a lawyer costs 100php/page.aw

ctc only costs 50php per document.. yes per document, regardless of how many pages a document has.. :)

about the required experience from schools and work, does it have to be recent? what if i stopped working as a nurse for a year with 3 yrs experience behind it, would it be accepted?

Hi FranszSeno, you can still apply for an eligibility with AHPRA even with that lag of 1 year experience (please check on the AHPRA website) just as long as you explain why in your CV. I, myself had been unemployed 5 months and I explained the reason in the CV that I submitted.

Have you looked at the site yet for immigration, you will get 5 points if you have worked 3 years in the past ten...was it paid work?

Though employers do not look favourably on breaks in work of over `year.

Hi,

I am a registered nurse in the Philippines and currently working as a staff nurse. I am going to complete my 6 months paid experience this coming July 2. Am I eligible to apply for Australia? I really want to study and at the same time work abroad. Do I have a chance? How do I get started? I'm planning to take my IELTS exam as well next month. I hope I can get any reply. I really want to fly abroad already. :D I don't mind attending any bridging course or complete training and such just to have a license abroad.

Thank you.

Getting nursing registration, follow this thread from the start are the best instructions. Finding work and having the right to remain working in Australia is another thing as many nurses born and raised in Australia are struggling to find work, some with no experience, others have years of experience.

Overseas nurses that cannot find work are returning home in greater numbers every week.

Do not take out loans to complete the bridging program is the best advice I can give.
