LOE before was valid for 2 years.Sometime last year APHRA made it 1 year.

    Hi twigz.
But initially, your LOE is only valid for a year and you just requested for an extension am i right?

Because what the readers are thinking is, you were granted 2 years validity by the time you received your letter of eligibility.. Which is a bit confusing at first. Based from my knowledge, ahpra issues loe which is only valid for a year..
It happened to me as well.. My loe is valid for a year and i just requested for an extension and i was granted for 6 more months.

Thank you stemcell, i also want to know if they require something about australian federal police check that can be paid through online, IHNA required of it for clinical placement. What's the purpose of this? Would the NBI clearance suffice? Or we really need to have the Australian Federal Police check? did ur school required it also?
My friend mentioned about this police clearance for Australia. If I got it correctly, she said it costs 42AUD.

Yes this is true but I think this is only for AHPRA WA. I had a friend who applied early in April 2011 and his LOE validity is 2 years.
