There have been instances.before that those that applied in ahpra vic were not given extension to their loe. Well that's what i've read in previous posts in this forum. Better to ask from ahpra to be sure.

Yes just tell them your reason for asking for an extension and I believe they will review it. They will just ask for your bridging program offer letter.

Yes do that, my friend also told me to ask for an extension. So I emailed my AHPRA communications officer and humbly asked for an extension. Just attach in ur email the offer letter from the school. Just tell you officer that you are really interested and also tell the reason of the delay.

Guys,

ahpra's reply:

Dear Ms Perez

As per numerous previous emails no extensions are given to bridging course eligibility letters. You have not and will not be granted an extension on expiry date, you have until the 5th December 2012 to successfully complete a board approved bridging program.

Please take note of your ahpra's expiry date.

this was from a previous post. i think she was able to get an earlier intake that's why she didn't have to extend her LOE extended and I am not sure if she's from AHPRA vic. just back read this is from page 48 of this forum. And from her previous she was just asking for days extension but it was not granted

Thanks for your suggestions. What e-mail address did you send the request for extension? Is it directly to your case managers account (i think it was noted not to reply there because it's not monitored) or to AHPRA's web enquiry link?

Oh my! I think they are the one who could really answer. The best thing to do is still to ask for an extension and express the reason for the delay, but the school also told me that if ahpra will not grant my extension they will squueze for an earlier slot if someone backs out from an intake.

Yes better to ask your case officer to have first hand information. I've read a lot of complaints regarding asking for an extension in VIC. Other states do give extension like NSW, Queensland and WA.

Just make a web enquiry and include the reference number that they gave you before so you will be contacted by your registration officer. I only have one person contacting me since the start of my application. My first emails have that format but when I was given the LOE, the format included her email address.

Go back to your LOE, there's something in the lower part of the letter 'pls dont hesitate to contact ___ ' That's your officer;)
